I don’t like what’s happened to sth Morang player Shelts but what I will say is who cares that he has a bracelet of some sort on his ankle, if his playing good footy good on him for getting on the front cover!!
Everyone has a past, also ask yourself or the league this if it was roles reversed would Shelts have gotten those weeks or is it ok because of his past ????

Same sort of incident incident Adams and cluney definitely same intent, so why does one get 4 and one get 16 ???
Adams has other priors on field not to sure about cluney

It’s great the league video all matches and capture incidents like these. It’s pretty bad as he had plenty of other options and no need to do what he did. Not a great look for the league mate. Out of 100s of senior players and 1000s of kids the editor picks this guy. Surely he will have done his last record cover for any league as I’m guessing his been sacked.

Also a blight on Reservoir who were trying to regroup after a year in recess. Not sure that’s a good selling point to get players, supporters. Sponsors through the door..

He got 16 weeks and there is now video evidence of 2 separate disgraceful incidents and the player spent the weekend in hospital.
Happy that he won't be playing football for a while.

I cannot believe the competition used that photo, he could kick 50 in a game and that photo should not be on the cover.

Thanks mate. Yeah seen the elbow and it wasn’t necessary, but it wasn’t near the force of the Resa player nor did there seem to be intent. I think 4 and 16 are fair verdicts depending on their history. The Resa player was running at speed and clearly had intent.

16 weeks is not enough for this scum bag, ankle bracelet or not life ban is all he deserved, Shelton will miss the majority of the season most likely so why should this scumbag ever be allowed to step foot on the field again? He shouldnt, and he won't. Just an old hack taking someone out off the ball that plays fair footy.

Also not a great advertisement for the League...honestly would you let your son play knowing that incidents like this are still happening ?. Hopefully Shelts makes a full recovery but having had a similar injury it can take time to regain confidence.

What les did was a cheap shot no doubt, but happened within a split second of him actually disposing of the ball so not even in the same ball park, should he have got more than 4? Probably, but thankfully the league got one right and this goose never plays again.

What I meant by it's not enough didn't mean.more weeks of missing footy, meant that there should be ramifications for him other than missing games, Shelton has every right to and should press charges.

Why does a player have to press charges police have video, its a clear as, it should not be up to him to press charges it should be automatic. If this was on the street and there was CCTV would the police not just lay charges?​

Fortunately I've never put myself in the position of being charged, so I don't know what the drill is, but totally agree the police should do it if they have that power, but I don't know if they do if the victim chooses not to press charges!

I hope you didn’t miss the bloke head butting the Mernda player first. Did you see the the bloke come off second best trying to push the 17 year old kid into the fence only to loose his own feet and hit the fence himself. Back into the kitchen and keep stirring the pot.
