Also very minor but does anyone else find it annoying they don’t edit out the ad breaks on the replays like previous gamepass did? Instead every break is a DAZN/gamepass placeholder that you have to fast forward, which wouldn’t be a problem if the app wasn’t so temperamental and skipping a head wouldn’t cause the buffering issue to arise.

I watched it on YouTube. Uncensored...it was on the DAZN YouTube channel! But can't find it now.

I did wonder why it was on their YouTube channel but I couldn't watch it via their app, so I assume it was an error and they have removed it.

CH7 did use to broadcast it late at night a week or so after each episodes release, but I haven't checked.

UPDATE - Just done some googling. Hard Knocks is coming to CH7 August 18. Looks like on 7Plus. I assume FTA as well, so keep an eye on schedules.

Checking....it's a phone option. You scroll thru the apps that offer PIP and toggle the apps on/off, allowed/not allowed for PIP.

dazn the app itself doesnt offer PIP so you cant toggle it on/off, whereas many other apps do offer it.

How to Enable and Use Picture-in-Picture Mode on Android

1. Go to Settings > Apps and tap the three-dots menu.
2. Select Special access from the drop-down menu and then tap Picture-in-picture.
3. Here, you will see all the apps that support PiP. Find your desired app and make sure the switch beside it is toggled on.

They’ve finally fixed the login issue for google tv so been able to check it out more and it feels like the android app is an after thought compared to apple. Apple app is nowhere near perfect but it does have the PIP on the phone media player and Apple TV app can split the screen up to 4 games at a time, as well as PIP.

Another difference is with the live channel. Apple you can pause and rewind whereas google tv it’s not possible.

Neither versions have that score timeline thing which sucks.

Google tv still has the most annoying bug of them all where it plays for a bit then stalls and restarts. Tried watching the chiefs game on replay and obviously skipped the 20 min intro they don’t edit out. Played for a minute then re-started and even when it eventually played it was very choppy and constantly switched between HD and a blurry piece of shit.

Fast forwarding is annoying. No skip 10 secs or anything. It’s like the old vcr way where you keep pressing for faster speed. Problem with this is it lags and can skip too much time so you end up going too far and realise you’ve missed a shitlod of play.

Especially annoying when you see a team has scored so you end up going back but you don’t know how far you have to go back so in the end you might as well have just watched the shitty montage crap until coverage is back on.

A lot of these issues are an easy fix but going by the reviews the same shit has been happening since 2019 so that doesn’t give me enough confidence these guys care.

Unless they reduce the price to like $60 a year I won’t be subscribing. It offers nothing new in terms of content either so not worth their price. I’ll re-asses eventually but thanks to the kind folks on this board there are alternatives that give a better experience for now.

Positives… on google tv the scores are hidden if you toggled this option, unlike the game pass version.

And it appears they at least offer payment to be split over 4 months so you don’t have to shell out $280 in one hit.

Everything you describe was my experience too using android app. So annoying.

And yeah, seems they support apple more. Overall, it's a shit product compared to the NFL version of gamepass. Gotten so used to having gamepass over the years will make it hard to skip it this year. I might cave IF the peice drops.

Jesus Bloody Christ this says everything right here! Who would've thought we'd be pining for the days of the shitty Gamepass app with no IT support, terrible layout and accessibility and not able to even hide scores on the android tv app.

At least the dazn app now has little dots on the video bar that denote scoring plays and such. It's getting better little by little since dazn first had gamepass.

I watched a replay of Jets/Bucs the other night. Took a while to actually get to the start of the stream, watched about 20-25 minutes, game froze 5 or 6 times, quality kept dropping to blurry vision, had to try and skip through and breaks as they weren't cut out and the skip/slide feature wasn't great (apple tv) - this was on a replay of a preseason game, hate to see how it goes streaming a live game in week 1 where more than a handful of people will be using the servers.

Today the same happened, a stream would cut out and send you back to the start. dazn still unstable under heavy usage by multiple subscribers

Its going to suck for someone to get up at 3am to watch a game week 1 and have the website down or unusable.

then get offered a 10% off NFL Shop code or a free month of DAZN base sub to watch whatever junk they show.
So glad i went elsewhere.
