The Northern Footy Show has rattled the cages of the NFNL so much that clubs have been told they face potential financial sanctions if players or officials deal with the Footy show
Big Brother much?
Well maybe tell these clowns that they need to keep up with the times and have proper Social Media Platforms. Thats would be the reason the guts started this platform and a well informed UP TO DATE platform that is frequently updated. So that keen followers of the League are kept up to date. Seriously , what can they be fined or sanctioned or? Keeping people up to date with whats going on in ' Their ' League. The Head Honcho looked thrilled in every picture you see of him during presentations to Grand Final winners. Didnt want to be there.

NFNL has created a new social media policy apparently basically killing the show. Bizzare. Is it that big an issue?
You cant be serious. Its not abusing anyone one or hurting anyone . It is giving the League followers what they want. Something that they arent doing. Im not sure how they can stop anyone from having a Facebook page if not ' Officially ' involved with a club. Who do they think they are really??? Everyone should stop liking or commenting on League page and see how they like it.

From the horses mouth.

For example to get the footy show down at the club for promotional activities over pre-season we require NFNL approval.
What a farkin joke & no wonder senior level club administrators are leaving in big numbers.

SUBJECT: REVISED NFNL SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
DATE: 16 OCTOBER 2024

Dear Affiliated Clubs,
Re: NFNL Social Media Policy
Policy Overview:

➢ At the NFNL Board of Directors meeting last night, the board endorsed the attached Social
Media Policy, inclusion section 4.
All NFNL-affiliated clubs are strictly prohibited from engaging with or supporting any media
platforms, including social media forums or pages, that have not been explicitly approved by the
NFNL. This applies to all forms of media, including but not limited to:
• Print media
• Online news outlets
• Social media platforms
• Podcasts, video blogs, or any other digital communication channels
Requirement for Written Approval:
Before any club can interact with non-NFNL-endorsed media outlets, they must seek and obtain
written approval from the NFNL. This written approval must come directly from the league’s
authorized representatives to ensure that all communications align with the league's values,
messaging, and strategic objectives. Failure to do so will result in clubs being subject to disciplinary
measures.
Potential Disciplinary Actions:
Any club found to be in violation of this policy - whether by directly engaging with non-endorsed
media outlets or by indirectly supporting them - may face significant consequences. Disciplinary
actions may include, but are not limited to:
• Financial penalties
• Suspension of club activities or privileges within the league
• Formal reprimands
• Possible disqualification from league events

Should you seek any further clarification please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours Sincerely,

Martin Stillman

What a joke.

So if an independent podcast wants to interview Greensborough coach you need written permission?

That’s a DISGRACE

So is the show going to become NFNL endorsed/approved in wiriting and be able to continue, that's what I'm keen to see.

"have not been explicitly approved by the NFNL"
"they must seek and obtain written approval from the NFNL."

Martin Stillman HAHAHAHAH how about show some excitement and want to be there helping out grand final day instead of looking as interested as watching paint dry in ALL OFFICAL ( LOL ) Photos.

This is one of the most ridiculous things and rules I have ever seen in my time in footy. Im sure other league would laugh at this. Are we in NFNL or AFL?

This league is an absolute joke. Maybe if they were pro active instead of reactive they wouldnt need to $hit themselves worrying about others volunteering and doing a better job than what they do.

They've cracked the sads - people doing a better job of what they should be doing.

The thing is these volunteers are tryimng to bring things back that the true followers of the league want.
Take note NFNL maybe the volunteers should copyright everything they do or have done to please supporters and if league try to use hit them with everything.
