Clearance has been knocked back and it's now going to AFL Vic is what I'm hearing, messy.

Donny beat MacLeod by 10 pts .macleod had a heap out as did donny .scrappy game main thing no major injuries

I agree it’s a stupid comparison. Macleod have a junior and senior side simple. When the Harvey’s or whoever else left Preston RSL they weren’t forced to go to North or Heidelberg. Just like any other junior, play where you like. What about yarrambat, mill park and other clubs who don’t have seniors? Bundoora have got plenty of players from them, should they be 1 pointers? No way. Non issue really, Shane has always been 1 point and Brent will be down to about 3-4 now. Let’s move on to Round 1. Anyone got there tips and ladder predictions after the praccy matches are done?

Macleod Snrs and Jnrs have been officially affiliated since early 1990's. Not sure anyone in their 50's before that is contemplating a comeback but they would be 6 pointers no problem

Nope, just that if boomer didn't get selected for the knights team that specific weekend he could in theory play for dvfl club. In this case that would have been North.

that is a stretch, wasn’t he was drafted a 17 year old? Surely he would have nominated North heidelberg or got a clearance all the way back then?

I personally agree that boomer should be worth 1 point but some of the incoherent dribble I just read probably explains why there is no records kept that links him to the club. What is he worth this season? 4? Time to get over it.

But this is the whole reason for the points system. There is hundreds of TAC and VFL players playing now that have nominated a senior club, that have never played a senior game there, just like Boomer. Why should he be the exception? When there are rules about playing a certain amount of games. Unfortunately he didn't play juniors at North Heidelberg, so he is the same boat as the rest of them. Anyway North people aren't going to agree any other way then 1 point, so we are just going around in circles.

Anyway my selections this week are:

Macleod 18 points
West Preston 24 points
Greensborough 30 points
Montmorency 20 points
