Wow, that’s disgusting. Why are they cutting the footage? Should charge him with assault. Should never play footy again

Yep, 1000% agree, think the footage is cut for the “safety” of those involved as it did spark a pretty big melee with 4 yellows and that red. Disgusting by the nfnl with a bloke who’s known to lose his cool and do stuff like this every week and gets carded all the time (obviously not to this extent).

I know he was already coming off a 5 week suspension or something so will be interesting to see how many weeks he has left before a lifetime ban as he’s had more suspensions in past. Can’t be long that’s for sure

Why would you not just give him 16 and be done with it? Why spout off “Patrick Cronin round” then give someone 7 weeks for footage that’s so bad you took it down.

The tribunal is an absolute joke

Never heard of that before?? The NFL edit the games before posting?
He's right, approx 25:30 into the 3rd qtr Watsonia player kicks it to the wing, a Fitzroy player runs back with the flight and gets flattened, doesn't look like a free is paid and the Watsonia player is thrown to the ground, the footage cuts straight to a Watsonia player lining up for goal.

Obviously they want to avoid the leader local football article. I know they read this forum and will be digging.

It’s laughable they dictate what we are shown. It should be super transparent IMO. If this is a blatant king hit and this moron will be running again next year the league next a huge tribunal overhaul. Let’s hope it’s over 16 weeks

Panther v Saints - Eltham pretty chuffed with their big win and hoping it’s the turning point. Watsonia safe from relegation. Panther by 70

Demons v Pingers - Embarrassing loss for DC, Epping still in relegation danger. DC 44

Red backs v Burra - PH had a positive start but unfortunately injuries mounting. St Mary’s building nicely and a chance at finals. 55 points Burra

LP Bears v B Bears - Absolute ripper match. lower on their ground should win. 10 points

Stars v T Bears - Stars will be beaten easily here 88 points

Round 11 of Division 2 footy and as always some interesting games

Watsonia (7th) take on Eltham (3rd). Both teams coming off good wins for different reasons. The Saints have all but confirmed their place in Division 2 in 2022 while Eltham moved back into the double chance spot after beating Diamo last week. Eltham have named an unchanged line up and would be expected to win but the Saints will look forward to taking up the challenge. Panthers by 29 points.

Diamins Creek (5th) take on Epping (9th) with both teams coming of disappointing losses last week. Again I still can’t get a read on Diamo, their good is good but their bad is bad. They will have too much firepower though for Epping who lose Baddeley-Kelly to VFL duties. Diamo by 47 points.

Match of the day sees battles of the bears Lower Plenty (2nd) vs Banyule (1st). Class players across both teams and on the small Lower Plenty ground this should be a high scoring encounter. Grabowski, Lovell and Truefeldt return for Banyule while Turner is back for Lower. Banyule to confirm their premiership favouritism and win by 19 points.

Fitzroy Stars (10th) take on Thomastown (4th) in NAIDOC week. The stars would have been disappointed with their result against Watsonia last week, especially having defeated Panton Hill the week before. Thomastown will be looking to bounce straight back after only kicking 3 goals last week against Lower Plenty. Thomastown to win by 68 points.

St Mary’s (6th) take on Panton Hill (9th) and need to keep winning to maintain pressure on top 5. They regain Guldon and with N Dean in good form I can’t see them dropping this one to Panton Hill who are hoping to get a few back from injury before their round 14 clash with Epping which will have a big bearing on whether they play Division 2 or Division 3 in 2022

Let’s hope for good weather and good footy tomorrow

Just saw Lower defeat Banyule today in a great game of footy. After the game Billy Barden from Lower was interviewed and he said they had been working hard at playing better as a team rather than as individuals.
This was the difference today.
Banyule have too many players that don’t give it off when they should.
Lower outstanding today.

eltham very lucky to walk away with a victory. goal given with couple minutes left from a poor umpiring desicion after watsonia leading for most of second half. eltham look a very different team without mcaffer out there!

4 out of 5 tips
Panther just getting over the line
Diamo increasing there %
Lower showing it’s not just a one horse race
Thomo easily over Stars
And the upset which I didn’t pick, Panton Hill earning there spot in div 2 in 2022 and probably ending St Mary’s finals hopes

Look at who Banyule had out, plus Martin did calf half way through 2nd quarter.

Was a very good game. As a VAFA watcher, this was the equivalent of a top 4-5 in B Grade. Depth for both teams would be their downfall.

Great effort by Watsonia. Obviously didn’t get the chocolates but certainly gives them faith they can compete with the better sides

Great result for the Lower bears today but the end score line doesn’t reflect what occurred with the game as a whole.

Billy is probably spot on with his assessment, but I don’t think anyone would or should be suggesting that Banyule aren’t the best suited combination to progress to div 1 at this stage.

They obviously have a few ins for their best side and have far greater depth but as 2018 proves, anyone can win on the day.

Lower are very hard to beat at home. Great win and obviously they know how to get it done on a big ground (2018).

Well done to Lower today - Much better side on the day
It shouldnt be a surprise to any side by now that you need to pick a much different side when you play at Lower - The ground is too small small for junior football let alone senior football!!
Lower have a very good side to suit the postage stamp ground and get the results there so well done to them
Fortunately the finals are played on Senior football grounds and I will still back both Banuyle and Thommo to beat Lower on a proper oval
