Eltham a bit off the pace but across the season May catch up.
Haven’t seen StMarys, Thomastown and Diamond Creek yet.
Diamond Creek could make a statement this week if they beat Banyule.

I think you are right on the money - Seen all contenders this year and to my mind it will come down to a battle between Banuyle and Lower - They are a class above the others
There is a long way to go and injuries can play a role but these two sides are in the box seat
Saw the Eltham reserves team last week - no stars there just solid contributors across 22 players which is significant when most other teams only have 10 - 12 solid players

Banyule v DC - Banyule to strong 40 points

Eltham v Watsonia - picking the upset of the year, Watsonia 14 points. Could be way off...

thom v Epping - bears back on the board 37 points

Round 6, last week 4/5 with the Creekers getting the win over Thomo, let’s see how this week goes
Panton Hill (2-3) are at home against Lower Plenty (4-1). The redbacks have found a bit of form and it was always going to be a period of time after Covid and moving up from Div 3. It doesn’t get any easier though as they take on the high flying Lower. No Darcy Barden this week who has been in vintage form but I still think Lower have too much firepower. Lower by 32 pts
Top of the table clash see Banyule (5-0) take on Diamond Creek (4-1). Banyule got the win in a low scoring game against Eltham last week while Diamo had a great win over Thomo. I will admit I have underestimated Diamo but this week is a great challenge for them. Florence is a massive out especially with Martin in good form for Banyule. Diamo to press all the way but Banyule at home by 17pts
Eltham (3-3) take on Watsonia (1-4) which I see as a bit of a danger game for the Panthers. Watsy though only having the one win have been competitive against all top 5 teams and will be looking for that first big scalp. Too much for the Panthers though and they will get the win, Panthers by 19pts
Thomo (3-3) take on Epping (1-5) and will look to get their season back on track. Injuries have hurt Thomo but they just need to win this game. Thomo by 37pts
St Mary’s (4-2) take on Fitzroy stars (0-5). St Mary’s have been going along very well, have a good group of young kids coming through and will look to take another win here. The stars were more competitive last week but losing Lovett-Murray is a big loss. St Mary’s to continue on their winning way by 48pts
Again enjoy your footy, respect umpires and opposition players and hope your team wins

Nearly every club would have 4-6 of their best 22 out from who I’ve spoken too. Injuries are hitting hard this year

Still seeing under 19 games without boundary and goal umpires which is not good
