I have serious mail out of the Lower Plenty camp that they are going all out this year to "win now". I can not reveal my source for obvious reasons but tipping that they will recruit a few head turners to the club. They believe the premiership window and one player has the ability to unlock the key. Interesting couple months ahead but would love to be a fly on the wall at these committees. Watch this space, plenty to play out

Contradicts the mail I heard a few weeks back that they were very happy with the progress of the young squad they had in 24 and whilst want a few ins were not looking at major topups to see what this squad can do.
I suppose we will see what happens in next few months though.

yeah look i dont appreciate you questioning my credibility but we will move on. obviously got some young talent coming through...but what I took from it was its a win now situation, with the players to be announced soon, they are all in to win now. wait until the dust settles and it will come to light. I am a big believer this squad can go all the way

Sorry champ I don't care if you think I am questioning your credibility. All I said was what you stated contradicts what I had heard. How that effects your precious emotions means very little to me.
Also, I think they can go all the way, without huge ins. They were young enough last year and surprised most. One or two key position players and they will be fine.

They were miles off. Let’s be honest. Unless they have recruited a couple jets to replace Flynn & Barden they won’t be contending.

Think Flynn is playing (although not sure as I am not associated with them it was something said a while back), agreed Bards is a loss, very tough to replace. They will be top 5 again I reckon.

yeah look that was some of my mail...have been tipped off that he wanted to go around again perhaps 1 more time due to a godfather deal put forward by the club, they think he still has enough in the tank but time will tell

Patty has 100% retired. Their only saving Grace was if they could get Darcy barden back to the club then Patty and bill would have gone one more year
Patty is the biggest loss they could have . Incredibly influential

Have recruited a 6ft 4 type and the young bloke who has played 2 seasons already at 6ft 7 and 110 kegs is on a continual improvement curve and probably has an inch or two height left in him. I know he was doing some training at Collingwood VFL last year, so not sure if the plan is to put him on their list.
I also heard there was some surprise attendees at first week of pre season from a Div 1 club but not sure of their intentions.

Saw him play a couple games this year and he was very good. Nothing flashy but no one beats him 1v1.
Being a defender on panton hills ground surely makes it easier aswell with congestion and less space for fwds?
How old is he 33-34? Another one gone from my second favourite club
