No point poaching a coach for money who doesn’t want to do it. You need the passion to do it properly
You’re not poaching if the blokes on the free market. I’m sure phone calls will be made by multiple clubs and along with that will come cash offers that will be sure to entice.

Anyone heard the rumour of Stars staying up in Div 2? Was told today they have requested to stay up as they fear they will might fold if they drop down to Div 3
After being in a simialr situation in VAFA where a club insisted on being dropped a division without a subsequent team being promoted caused massive issues for 2 grades of football. Management has to be strong and tell the clubs to get better if they want to play in higher grades.

Would Northcote Park say the same.

Clubs should never dictate where they play.

No I haven’t heard this. Without Kinglake entering or someone choosing to go down I don’t see how it’s possible.

Regardless how would staying in D2 help the stars? They were thrashed weekly. At least D3 they’ll win a few games

Brayden Sier (Heidelberg) is very close to a move to Northcote Park. He is best mates with the Perry brothers 👮‍♀️. Northcote were relegated to Div 2 and look to make a quick bounce back to Div 1. Potential for the announcement by end of next week.

Brand new account, 2 posts, 2 zingers. can't wait to see how these play out

If the above signings are true it’s going to be a seriously competitive year in D2.
Will be interesting to see how Northcote Park go social and clubrooms wise. The council is about to start a massive rebuild to knock down the pavilion and changerooms. No chance it'll be ready in time for footy season either.

It’ll be a tricky year whether the council provide portables or do it in stages…

Will be amazing once done

From what I've heard from a few of the cricket fellas is that they're doing it in stages, so there'll be demountable/temporary rooms for the away teams, and the home rooms behind the goals will stay. Then the home rooms will follow a few months later

This one snuck through. I would have thought Diamo would be doing whatever it could to retain players and attract a few more to take next step?

Pretty poor management from Creek. Given what they gave up *allegedly to get him across you'd reckon they would have ensured a multi year deal rather than a handful of games.

Rumour has it, Epping in real trouble, 20+ players on the way out. Heard the coaches even locked them off the oval towards the end of the year due to not being on field 30 minutes before training.
Also heard there is some conspiracy towards their vote count. An elite wingman robbed of bnf, and a tall lanky fella polling more votes than disposals
