I'll be stunned if it is true. There are literally dozens of ways to beat the cap without the full extent of the money trail being connected to a club. You would have to be pretty incompetent to get sprung, especially over multiple seasons.

It’s so obvious when there are certain players shopping themselves around to half a dozen clubs asking for a crazy figure and all those players have signed at a certain club. It raises eyebrows but the fact is how can the league prove third party deals from sponsors that get delivered in envelopes?

As much as we hate the fact that the richest clubs will be the most successful, we all know that it is true
It happens in all leagues, probably all codes and all over Australia
Footballers in the bush leagues get cattle and properties given to them - In Metro leagues players get cars and jobs
No use whinging about it clubs just need to do it better than their opposition until leagues put points measures in place to control it BUT why do leagues want to stamp out $$$ circulating in their leagues?? If they do it downsizes their competition and costs them their jobs!!
Futile exercise questioning if clubs are paying over the salary cap, they are!!
