Other players were poached from Corowa to rivals in the league. If anything they should be punished further due to contributing to a club folding.

Ridiculous comment. Players leaving Corowa many where imports into Club which is fine when you are winning but when things like not having a ground or pavilion/social rooms for the year due to floods and coach leaves then those players also leave. Club was a merged club that needed a lot to go right and in the country there seems to be less and less players. When those from Melbourne decide to return to Melbourne there is one Club who is responsible....

Corowa are in this situation like many country clubs. Has nothing to do with poaching.

What’s protocol. I find it hard to believe he will be a 1 pointer. Not that it matters to Panther. Should be assessed in the same manner he would have been regardless. 4 pointer.

There’s ample opportunity for players to find a club who’s not in points trouble. Whether their previous club still exists just shouldn’t be relevant.

Their club doesn’t exist because they are leaving… the players shouldn’t really be rewarded because of that imo.

Either way if Goodwin is a 4 or 1 Eltham still can accomodate him.

Injuries killed them. Losing JPerry and Schroder to long term knees was brutal. Signed a former Greensy captain. It’s only February, season is 2 months away. They’ll keep signing players.

Sam Gleeson gone I’ve heard. It will still be a very even comp. Diamo will still be very strong

NP are hard to read. Played a much higher standard last season but their losses are mounting.

Jackson Curic returns from an ACL who is a handy forward. Plus a few handy recruits so it’ll be a wait and see for me, but they do have some quality.

Expensive exercise for Diamond Creek !! With what they gave up *allegedly to get him out of Whittlesea while under contract you'd reckon they'd have locked him away for longer than the remainder of the 2022 season.

Id love to get insight on why some of you are so high on south morang,
there a team that’s coming up from division 3..
every team has strengthened in this division besides let’s say obviously epping and u could say lower plenty..

yes they have picked up some players as well but
i don’t see them finishing personally anywhere above 8th with lower and epping behind them

i think they’ll be competitive for most parts of games but like most teams like them fade out in games and get punished with lapses.

no hate, genuine question and would like to know your guys thoughts

On saying that i think the division split in 3/4 seperate tiers

Eltham, Northcote, Diamo all should be clear standouts and the main contenders.

Thomo, Watsonia, St marys, Panton Hill- all could play finals getting that 4th/5th spot whoever can snag a win against the top 3 would be massive for them in regards to finals.

South Morang, Lower- should be competitive enough and can win a few against the tier above
