They have at least given em selves a chance.

Looking at that you will have to think if they steal one of the home games and % starts to come in their favour then the last game is going to be a cracker. This week, a win against NP and Watsy lose some % then its season on.

No percentage issue Watsonia is only 6 points ahead as they had a draw

History says Whit will struggle.

I think DC and SM would both be a chance if they got their recruitment right.

From knowledge there is a lot of South Morang players in div 1 already that could come back as 1 pointers if they get to div 1 next year.

Would be a massive boost. Unsure if Diamond creek have some already in division 1 or not?

SM have atleast 4 or 5 ex juniors in d1 but they are no guarantee to come back however they have proven that they aren't afraid to spend a bit of $ when going up a div.

Have to suggest DC. Have to recruit but have the better depth of talent and string junior coming through with 19s sitting 2nd in Div 1 & 2nd in Div 3. Also have a few top end talented knights kids I believe.

Thomastown blow a huge chance for finals footy.

LP should make finals now which is a huge effort considering there was a lot of doom & gloom about them on here in the off season. Good on them.

Laurimar make things very interesting when all was written off a few weeks back.
As the above poster said, the last round will be awesome and I'm sure the refresh button on playhq will get a workover.

That was because of there old president before COVID. They were punished and weren’t allowed to spend there full salary cap.
Can’t recall if there was issues with fees. But heard they are chasing Collins, Bundoora captain. Who is from South Morang. He wouldn’t be cheap

Watsonia win this week against Thomastown and the top 5 is set while the relegation battle becomes quite interesting.

They were punished due to a fight after the grand final loss to Banyule when a bunch of old committee members who lost 200k over 3 years whist in power decided to ambush that so called president who then retaliated which brought the club and the NFNL into disrepute
The NFNL then took control of who was allowed to become committee for 5 years
Once that ceased the same bunch regained control of the club
Reports are that the financials didn't add up in the first year back to the tune of around 50-70K
Add to that the President and Vice president of the 5 years prior were both suspended for asking for an explanation to the numbers not adding up
Going very well on field but serious $$$ issues off the field

Is this the reason they are going back to the club or the reason they left? Maybe I missed a post but I am trying to work it what this post means.
