Their strategy was not to announce any recruits that had already signed until signed off by league so all recruits could be revealed after confirmation. There was fear league would not approve the request if recruits started rolling out while the request was being deliberated on.

The league is full of morons it wouldn’t shock me.

They’ve won a more recent flag than every club bar Laurimar in the division and now being gifted extra points after recruiting 3 ex AFL players and a number of other senior players.

Make it make sense.

Agree with the above. Was talking with some senior sections of our footy club and VERY, VERY unhappy with lack of discussion and understanding around the process.

As I have said previously, extra points to rebuild a struggling club makes sense - but utilising extra points to load up on previously VERY well paid and elite level experienced players looks to be something that needed more conversation/communication. Taking the pi$$ IMO.

Reservoir clearly did it to themselves and have had concessions most years since being reintroduced to the league since coming out of recession. Same thing will end up happening and the lague will be picking up the scraps again.

That said if Ressa, Lalor and West all have 50 points and the rest of the comp don't ..... and inequity in the fixture with 11 teams .....could see some significant challenges to work through.

Said it before, I am sure clubs like West would love to play at 50 points
Resa problems all from paying mercenaries when they won their last flag, got too hard for them to go to division 2 and they all left, leaving the club where it is now
Would love to see a statement from NFNL head office as to reasoning why but we all now that won't happen
Safe to say lots of p!ssed off division 3 clubs at the moment and rightly so
