If power picked up JD along with Fitz, good gets and makes sense as were best mates at Mont. But it goes back to the age old argument, pick these older guys up to try and win a flag in Div 3 then what? Do they go around in Div 2 (if they win it that is)

They should have tried to get them this season as they would have stayed up no doubt. Maybe they did?

Yep spot on. For all the turmoil down at South Morang, they have done it beautifully.
Just kept getting games into their kids coming through, picked up the odd player here and there, but focused on that group they had.
Only took them 2 years to jump from Div 3 to Div 1.
And I actually think they will go ok. With the a few recruits. Macleod did the same thing years ago with a group of young players and actually probably underachieved in the end.

But I suppose you could argue any way you can get out of a Div 3 just do it and then deal with what comes after that.

It's the balance of the two that look to be part of any clubs planning. Many on here who have been in this comp much longer than us (Ivanhoe) suggest that Div 3 is as competitive as any time most can recall. With that in mind, getting up into Div 2 and potentially being more appealing to some players could be part of the thinking clubs have to move up the grades. So maybe getting some older experience helps you achieve that? Then do you get some more younger quality considering your club due to you being in a higher grade?

Rumor that someone witnessed some serious 10571z recruiting being done today for the Turtles.

Expect their socials to explode with new players.

Parks. Patton. Hunt. Rexhepi. Bloods keep rolling out the players that are helping the rebuild as re-signing. Good to keep these experienced guys around. Now just need some fresh bloods to push them up again.
Seriously need to get a juniors program going to help build the future, hearing they are putting more effort into the women's for next season though.

I heard tonight that it’s a definite. Williamson as “forwards coach”, and Macaffer following. Source = Epping assistant coach. Others to leave Turtles as well.

Reckon your info is off the mark with job and school fees. Good story though and Makes for good reading.
Asked a Friend of mine from eltham that knows him well from his time there and seems to think he’s had the same job for several years? Also said his kids are very young so not sure how that works with high school fees?

He did say Taglieri confirmed to panther so that was accurate. He didn’t know anything about keys though. Both haven’t been confirmed on turtles socials either.

Besides the use of the ground does the school have much to do with Eltham college? 10571z confirm?

Epping is confirmed from what I’m hearing also though.

Yeah Caf was given the Assistant Principal job at Eltham Collage and his kids free schooling.....at a $50k+ a year school that has no real association with the Club. If the Turts has that pull they would be walking into Div 1 in years as who could knock back that.....

However I reckon he has signed somewhere, no idea but think Epping is on the money. No idea about Keys but Williamson doing contract deals with his manager mainly reviewing canteens and which is the best (I use this joke annually about him, an oldie but I am sticking to it as funny). Heard Malone has also signed but at another Div 2 or 3 club, not sure who that's all I heard.
