Salary cap is farcical, very few sides in whole comp are following the rules

There's no league enforcement for any club.
The league wants big names and a strong competition.
The league has no way of proving what blokes get off the books so as long as the official record is under the cap they rubber stamp it
The salary cap is a farce

Heard he’s on 100k a year for 10 years, with free school fees and a ceo job.

Caf had no plans to move on from Turtles after, but money was simply too good to turn down from the Pingers. Won't be surprised to see him in some honorary coaching/development role with the Epping junior club.

You would have to think it’s a money thing. I’m pretty certain his remuneration at the Turtles would have consisted of a job, school perks for kids and cash.

Perhaps Epping tee’d up a better job and more cash, not sure they could match Eltham College for education though.

Maybe playing on that Swamp College surface every 2 weeks was a factor as well!

What's so good about an EC education. They have schools over Epping way you know.

Maybe fortunes have changed. Reservoir waiting to announce the recruits until league approve them to play with extended points again. Once ticked off all will be revealed. Good to see them up and about. Puts pressure on West and Lalor.

Do you think Lalor and Ressa will both get extended points again this year? Both were a lot more competitive than previous years on 'most' occasions. Will be an interesting watch to see what happens.

Have you seen Scanlon play recently, bloke is super fit and has no trouble getting his hand on the pill. Would think he would be a better recruit than many players between 20-30. I would be still playing if my old body was as good as his!

Surely these blokes won’t be suiting up more than 5-6 games each.
