His first game had been fine, nothing spectacular. He hadn't had a kick in the first three quarters of his second game. We're playing the reigning premiers, it's absolutely pissing down, and out of nowhere he kicks 3 goals, including 2 GOTY contenders to single handedly win the match.

I think it was the lowest crowd at Subi in 8 years or something but it was the loudest I'd ever heard it. I loved last Saturday, I loved the Norf win, but honestly, it's not close.
I still remember that, gives me goosebumps when I think about it. His block of a handball then runs it (nearly spills it) gathers and goals. I remember Tim Gossage saying how awful the wind/rain was. LOL

Last year early on in the season a Fremantle supporter rang up and said Zac Clarke is at least equal to Nic. He quoted stats like marks, possessions, ave goals etc for the season so far (2015). Karl and Hackdorn rubbished him, the guy said you don't include hit outs. Not include hit outs he is a ruckman FFS.
IF

Karl and Hagdorn are pointing out the stupidity in your argument

THEN

You really are struggling

I was at that Hawks game at Subi. One of my rare home game opportunities. Remember I was so excited to see the young lad Play, to see what he was like. You could feel the collective anticipation in the crowd every time he got near it. And then he went bang!!! In the last quarter. Holy shitballs. The crowd just went to another level. High fiving strangers. Grinning from ear to ear as we were all thinking...thank f*ck for Jack Watts.

Some people just can't see the value of the ruck contest. At my work last year a Freo supporter went on a massive rant about how Nic was useless and Sinclair was way better. All they see is a couple of marks taken on the HF and that's it.

In their defence after seeing Sandilands dominance at hitouts mean diddly squat for nearly the whole of his career its fair that they may take that view of it.

...Now let us face Melbourne and pray..."we thank ye father for the Melbourne footy club and those that inhabit their list management positions for if but that we may have night seen the light of day".

In addition to the ones already mentioned, there is one that stands out in my mind that epitomises Naitanui. Unfortunately I'm only able to be slightly more specific than "remember that time, where he did that thing..."

There was a highlight where the ball came to ground from a centre bounce and initially no one gained clean possession. Nic Nat forced it forward by either a soccer or just knocking it forward and then proceeded to chase and harass and tackle every opposition player that it went towards and the ball just kept getting knocked forward (opposition players trying to knock it backwards to get a bit more space) and eventually Naitanui forced the turnover and we got a shot at goal out of it. Out of the whole thing, I don't know if Nic Nat actually got a stat, but he bumped and pushed and pressured four or five guys until we got a shot at goal.

This was just a perfect reflection of the influence he has despite not being a high possession player.

* Disclaimer, I can't absolutely guarantee that I didn't just make this up in a dream about Naitanui, but it seems pretty real in my mind.

Brisbane a few years back I think, shuey got the goal .... * could be wrong

My fav was the time he kicked the point of the century. He was the only one to touch it, tap/juggling it about 4 times from the centre bounce, then unfortunately missing the goal

The hawks match was his 2nd game.

I witnessed his first game against Richmond at Etihad - flew over for it, I swear I saw him touch the roof with his first centre bounce!
