The Poms deflection of the real issues that Bazball aint working against us and that Fanta Pants Bairstow day-dreams worse than a 3 year old watching a butterfly is at Jedi levels..

The worst media in the world will get a good couple of weeks to stick the pitchforks into us and launch their clickbait numbers, whilst we're smoking our pipe sitting 2-0.

Oh well..

I was umpiring a junior match one day (the dad at square leg) when something similar happened. I was looking away as the keeper threw down the stumps. The real ump walked over to me and said was he in? I said I wasn't looking at the batsman at that stage. Then he said - so you didn't see if he was out of his crease when the ball hit? I said no - then he said you called not out and you are right. Smiled, went back to his potion.

Not as bad as a ******* dad-umpire I once encountered at Under 16s level. He called a no-ball and turned his back on the play to signal to the scorers. Only trouble is the batter had hit the ball into the outfield and set off for a couple of runs. Our fielder has thrown to the bowler's end and the bowler caught it and broke the stumps with the runner still halfway up the pitch. Dad-umpire is still signaling no-ball to the scorers with his back to the action. He gives it not out (because he didn't see it) and doesn't think he's done anything wrong.

We are not talking about a stumping here. This is clearly a batsman walking down the pitch thinking the ball is dead. Look how far down the wicket he is. He even scratched his foot behind the line before he walked down pitch. Its a pethetic way to get a batsman out. If people want to win that way its an ugly way to do it.

Bairstow is a 'keeper himself (allegedly), he should have a lot more game awareness than that and should know to stay in his crease until the fielding team has considered the ball dead, especially when he has done the same thing multiple times. Carey threw the ball pretty much straight away.

He didn't say "Wicket leave" so he is out.

It seems like you've been stumped by what happened.
Hang on… when did we stop saying “crease”?
Or did my years of junior schoolboy cricket not play by the book

We didn't say either, just "Wicket".

Sad, sad day for Australian cricket. If they want to stoop to that level to win the ashes they can shove them up their arses. Lowest act I have seen in 46 ashes of watching ashes cricket. Might of won the match but lost everything else. This will haunt them for a long time just like sandpaper gate did. Win at all costs mentality. No wonder the world despises them as a team. No excuses to stoop to that level.
England would never stoop to that....

Hang on, we're just getting some new information. Roll the videotape.

And we only have to wait until Thursday night for the next test. Delicious. God I love test cricket.
How's old man Anderson going to go off a four day break? There's a good chance he'll be put out of his misery rested. I'd almost feel sorry for him if he wasn't such a tool.

Yeah to the tool bit but statistically, he is an all-time great of seam bowling who is being treated abysmally by this kiwi cabal leading English cricket and forcing him out of the game with these doctored pitches.

Reckon he's gonna call time at the end of this Ashes. Pitches like these roads make his bowling pedestrian at best.
