In the end the Pakistan side gave it up gutted by that decision. The game will always be remembered for that I would think. Spoilt an exciting finish. They will probably roll over again in the next test and then we have the exciting West Indies tests to look forward to haha (not). No wonder test cricket is dying a slow death in OZ.

The umpire clearly made his own decision on what he thought he MIGHT have seen. Its 50-50 at the very best. Benefit should always be with batsman especially when given not out on field.
Cummins to Rizwan, OUT
Cummins appealing for a caught behind but the umpire shakes his head. An intimidating lifter on middle, tries to get away from the line and Cummins thinks he might have gloved it. Marnus is already celebrating as third umpire takes a look from different angles. Very close to the wrist band. That leaped at him and well hotspot shows no mark as Rizwan looked away from the ball in the last second. Rizwan is convinced he didn't got anything on it. Third umpire wants to look from the front-on angle. Tries to drop his wrists to get out of the way, third umpire reckons there is a spike as it passes the wrist band so the on-field umpire has to change his decision and Rizwan cannot believe it and looks stunned but Cummins gets the crucial breakthrough! Well there was a lot of doubt and I am sure this dismissal will be discussed a lot

on another cricketing front, keep an eye on South Africa over the new few years. If they can find some batting to go with a pretty handy pace quartet, watch out - I had a look at some of the test against India, and the new boy Burger is a monster and puts them down well over 140
They’ve always produced good fast bowlers and batting openers. Their middle order and spinners, less so.

Hotspot did show a mark.

When was the last time India won a test in SA? Dont buy into the result too much.

They've got another couple in the wings as well.

They just can't find any batters. Elgar is retiring as well which doesn't help.

Possibly a mark on wristband but a guess at best. A bruise on the arm. On field umps say not out. 3rd umpire should have given benefit to batsman. Inconclusive evidence at best. Horrible decision really. Game changer
That mark on his arm was caused by him scratching with with other glove

I think at this point we know that Roo Blitz is a troll when it comes to the Australian Cricket team.

You can clearly see the "bruise" on the arm is nowhere near where the ball impacted him. It's pretty conclusive to be honest, you only give benefit to the batsman when it's not clear what happened. In this case it's clear.
Just because the on field ump couldn't call it live, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Hopefully they choose to play test cricket above 20/20

Ridiculous statement after a great Boxing Day test.

Therein lies the reason why we've pretty much dominated Test Cricket for more than 30 years.

We've produced high class fast bowlers and batsmen in equal measure over that period.

Subcontinent countries produce great batsmen but not so much strike bowlers.

Little wonder they're bowling first in our conditions because they know they struggle to take 20 wickets.
