I guess Choppy pretty much ownes this list with Pickett v Krummel the club house leader. But after watching some old footage the other night I saw the Schwass v Dean hit in the 95 prelim and thought........ is it top 5 material?
I couldn't decide. So does it belong there with Choppys greatest hits?

I'll start:

1. Pickett v Krummel
2. Pickett v Misiti (Ansett cup semi 98?)
3. Pickett v Milburn
4. Carey v Rice 97?
5. Schwass v Dean

Glendinning on Billy Duckworth at Windy Hill in possibly Ross' last game for us before he went home. Rosco did everything beautifully.

Byron cleaned up Milburn one day too (#3 on the OP), down at Geelong IIRC. Couldn't have picked a nicer bloke.

Ahh yes the shirtfront, I remember them.

Hayes was on debut and got split down the middle, and got straight back up. Always admired him for that.

Urch on Teague was a beauty too in the final round of 2005.

That would be my exact list also. Apologies to S Clayton v J Peckett (practice match at Moorabbin 2000). Clayton lined up an unsuspecting Peckett, shirtfronted him, catapaulted backwards & came off with concussion & a blood nose. Peckett just ran off to the next contest.

Pickett vs Krummel is #1 by a street.

I also remember Matty Larkin laying a beauty on Graeme Yeats, North vs Melb, late 1989.

What about when Petrie smashed three blokes in three rounds in 2004 who each had the initials 'RH'. I believe the players were Richard Hadley, Ryan Hargrave and Robert Harvey.

i think the carey one was 99 when the blues kicked the first 5 but we went on to blow them away.

that bump was after carey had just taken a chest mark after a long lead and he obliterated rice who was a hard unit. one of my all time favourite moments from the 90's. pure power and strength.

matty larkin in the 85 1st semi was a beauty too.

arch on lenny hayes early 99 was a good one.

Anthony Rock cleaning up Dougie Hawkins in 1993 or 1994 at the Western Oval . If my memory serves me correct , Hawkins went to clean Rock up 1st and came off worse

Byron cleaned up Milburn one day too (#3 on the OP), down at Geelong IIRC. Couldn't have picked a nicer bloke.

I was standing on the wing at "Baked Potato Stadium" when Choppy delivered this massive hit on Milburn. The hit sent Milburn spinning about 270 degrees in mid air. Milburn left the field and IIRC he missed the rest of the season with a shoulder injury that he received in that clash with Choppy.

Fond memories:D.

IIRC a North teammate swept it away and we goaled.

Did it attract the usual snide remarks from the likes of Mrs Robert Walls?

He used to say "You don't need courage to take someone out" as if Byron wasn't as tough and brave as they come.

This from Gabbie earlier this year after Andrew Symonds cleaned up the streaker:

"Almost up there with Greg Chappell wacking the crown jewels of a streaker with the flat of his bat way back at the MCG - Oz v West Indies - so glad i witnessed that.

and my favourite hip and shoulder is - drum roll....

Ross Glendinning on Billy Duckworth at Windy Hill"

Ahahahah that's a great memory. :)

I'll add Crocker's shirtfront in the '95 Prelim and Schwass' bump on Alessio one Friday night against Essendon that put him in hospital.

Although the most brutal was Choppy v Krummell my personal fave was Arch v Hayes. We were staring at the barrel of 1 win and 4 losses and Arch just stepped up big time in that game. That started a 10 game winning streak if my memory serves me correctly and of course the flag was the end result.

On the flipside a couple that we've received that stick out was Lloyd v Blakey in the 2000 pre season granny and Southern v Ishenko in 94 on a Friday night at the G.
