I decided to distance myself from this board for all of 2-3 days and just North in general. Needed a break from it all while I focused on my own first round of footy.

Didn't work too well though. Last night I had a dream we were up by 100 points in the 3rd quarter and ended up winning by 60, which sounds like North cause we are the kings of junk time goals to opposition that we are destroying. Would I take a 60 point win though, yes please.

Winning this week will not make up for inept performance last week. 4:40 start on Sunday before school holidays ends. AFL done us no favours with the fixture. .

Yeah got a win mate. We were down most the day by 3-4 goals and got within 7 points at 3QT before running over them in the last to win by about 4 goals. Took us all day to get going, but got the points so it's all good! Tough day for a CHF on such a small oval though, but I did my job, so smiles all round! Some bloke in our team kicked 7 and bombed one from about 65, he's a powerhouse and should be playing for North

I agree that we shouldn't be taking the Fitzroy Bears lightly. We have too much at stake to drop this one.. We have already been written off for flag contenders by various 'so called' experts.

I thought we went pretty tall.. Not sure it that is a bad thing against them.. Wouldn't be going that tall against the likes of the dockers or the hawks.

I understand the strategy, Wood will replace the tall forward not performing (Waite, Petrie or Brown) but I would have really liked to see him start.

Any mail on Macmillan, injured? Wright is a fair replacement so shouldn't lose too much there.
