I understand the strategy, Wood will replace the tall forward not performing (Waite, Petrie or Brown) but I would have really liked to see him start.

Any mail on Macmillan, injured? Wright is a fair replacement so shouldn't lose too much there.

I'm tipping a strain that they were giving Macmillan the last minute to recover from. While I consider Macmillan best 22 if you were to tell me we had a late out today he is one of the more replaceable players.

I'm sensing big games from Dal Santo, Wells and Harvey - built for Etihad and rarely play two stinkers in a row. Rockliff and Merrett also big outs, one of our big three up forward bound to get off the chain and kick a bag.

Easy to forget that he was very good early last year.

He, Thomas and Turner are what we need in terms of pressure up forward - helps counter the three slow giants.

Happy with the change. I'd like to see Wright match up on one of their short people. Big game for Nahas. I like Wood coming on late against tired defenders.
