There should be an award for well known people who post stupid self-incriminating videos online (or allow themselves to be filmed by “trustworthy friends”). A bit like the Darwin Awards. Points would be allocated according to a scale of seriousness of the theme of the video, the ensuing apology and the punishment meted out.

I don’t think it’s a super long bow to be honest, it’s becoming a bit of a concern IMO. That if these videos find their way into the wrong hands they could easily sit on it until it becomes beneficial to release and as we know first hand with Baz, the punishment is still applied in the present

It’s only a matter of time until an old video comes to light the day before a player is about to play off in a grand final, and no body wants to see that.

I’m not sure what the solution is to be honest, obviously players could stop filming themselves doing dumb shit but that’s never going to happen. I’d love for a club to take a stand though and say, for example with the Baz situation, whilst we didn’t know about this particular video we were aware of this behaviour at the time and it has already been recognised and dealt with, with the changes he’s made in his life blah blah blah we don’t see further punishment necessary only due to this video coming to light etc

Yes and no, but in the social media era it’s a big concern. Especially with deepfakes, won’t take much to get people unsettled like the post above if it’s tried on at a bad time. Found myself on Twitter looking for the “video” and on some comment someone dropped one in with Crisp’s head on some other guys body with his junk out. Not a convincing one, but don’t under estimate how much time shit people have on their hands

If this whole thing is true, then he’s a complete ****wit that has ruined his marriage considering he’s been with his wife for over 10yrs since he was in QLD that would pre-date all of it. It’s ****ed for his family to deal with it either way, fake or true
