No way he coaches again - well certainly for a few years minimum

Burn out after 15-20 years of Snr assistant and then Snr coach and last 4 GF being losses. Last 2 of them humiliating and couldn’t not impact you emotionally

He looked shattered after losing the GF again. Suspect he'll take 6 months off and come back to coaching after that if he feels like he can lose more hair. Coaching landscape could look drastically different come June 2025. Who knows what any of Adelaide, Port, Essendon, St Kilda offer up in the first half of the year. And there's Tassie on the way although I'm still hearing that one's going to Bucks.

Totally agree .....he'd be questioning his own coaching after 4 big defeats ....his messaging may be stale

Yet again, winning a flag in his 2nd year ....it can be argued, he inherited the Paul Roos team

I guess we will see why Dean Cox didn't go for the WCE job?

Was robbed out of the 2016 flag.

But the two most recent grand finals were exceptionally poor

Brad Crouch with a big FU to Ross the Boss

Saints’ odd Crouch rookie call and the game that could cost $500k

Brad Crouch was St Kilda’s only pick in last week’s rookie draft, yet his AFL career is all but over. So why did the Saints make the move that left fans scratching their heads?

Crouch was delisted by the Saints in their player cuts during the recent player movement period, but was redrafted with the club's only selection in the AFL Rookie Draft.

However, the Herald Sun reports Crouch is likely to retire in the coming days and has already been appointed as a non-playing assistant coach at Noble Park in 2025.

Well, Longmire is retained in a new position ....will he be in charge of gameplan design and execution 🤣

It's laughable to suggest

IF Crouch had a degenerative knee, he wouldn't have been rookied ...it may have been for TPP reasons

It was strongly rumoured mid-season, a conflict between Ross & Crouch would see Crouch never play another game for the SAINTS

Well, that's what has occurred

The article doesn't explain why Brad Crouch was rookied.

Was he already contracted for 2025?

Don't think he'd coach Port, he'd have had enough of getting smashed in finals with a midfield that goes missing...

Yep. And must say he has been remarkably restrained re 2016 GF vs Bullies. They were absolutely ROGERED. I wanted Bullies to win after TipRap, but cant remember a more cheating umpiring display clearly costing the more deserving team the flag.

The 'Bulldogs Fairytale' - bloody VFL
