In relation to Zerk-Thatcher shirking the first contest last Thursday night by ducking his head, apart from only a few in the media discussing it, there has been nowhere near the condemnation on Z-T that Rachele got....

In actual fact, he shirked another contest not long after that first one....

Virtual silence.....

Pretty sure there was an inspirational captain's squib by Rozee too.

Sam McClure is the worst in the business.

Has absolutely no clue.

West Coast won’t pick Reid. Carlton will win the flag.

Even had a cry when the Courts stripped him of his ‘award’ for the camp bullshit.

Joke of a ‘journalist’.
Kane Cornes' schtick is controversial hot takes. Sam McClure's schtick is pretending to get scoops that are actually bullshit speculation, in the hope that they turn out to be true in the end. The 'broken clock is right twice a day' method.

Yet they will still be able to sign up all the players they want without an issue.

I'm sorry, but there's a smell that isn't right. Don't forget they took on a significant contract for a player they didn't really want only what a year (2?) ago.
Either they really are such a fantastic club to be at that players will accept genuinely cheaper deals, or there is under-the-table crap going on. Undeclared properties, jobs, cars and such, for the players and their families - could be anything.

He may be out of contract but he isn’t a free agent. If the clubs can’t come to agreement he has to nominate for the pre-season draft with his salary request and then see what happens. You have two Melbourne clubs in positions 1 & 2 so good luck with that Bailey.
Especially if you consider the narrative a player like him will take less $ to play for Geelong. Thats great but it also makes the PSD a risk

At the end of the day though he won’t stay at the dogs and he won’t reach the dogs in PSD. So while Geelong could risk missing him, the dogs still also risk losing him for nothing and the way the system is now that does mean the receiving club generally will get the player for slight unders

But who is going to pull the trigger? Remember that they have to use a draft pick on him, in what is reputed to be a strong draft. Then there's no guarantee of getting a better pick off Geelong next year.

It could end up being a repeat of the Luke Ball situation. St Kilda didn't like the pick that Collingwood were offering and refused to trade. Ball delisted himself and nominated for the ND. Collingwood then picked him in the ND, using the exact same pick that they were offering St Kilda. Collingwood got the player they wanted, at the price they were offering - St Kilda got nothing.
This is the exact example as to why the PSD should be scrapped

Players can still get to a club this way if a trade can’t be done but at least the club isn’t getting them free is the PSD

Unless the afl actually likes the PSD being a benefit to the bottom 1-3 teams to use as a trade threat or to actually land a top player free (rare) then don’t see its purpose now FA exists too

Gee Boyd was impressive in his interviews tonight. Super smart guy. What a pity someone in the AFL didn't get him into their system. plenty of 198cm second ruck/forwards. may need to trim off if anything but not too short at all.

West Coast may have been going through a shit patch for the last few years, but it's a well-run, rich club that has 4 premierships and 7 grand final appearances in 38 years. That averages out to a flag every 9.5 years and a granny every 5.4 years. A club of that quality wouldn't touch Hinkley with a ten-foot pole.

Are you heading down to Bourke street to soak a little of that Melbourne culture today Ol’ mate ?
Couple of innocent buskers bashed by a mob in Keffirs and 25000 back protesting today for the extreme cultural experience.
Your house prices are collapsing, are to be taxed like nothing seen before, young people and old are abandoning the anarchistic state.

Time to build the wall @ Bordertown.

I've got the perfect plan to make GWS the biggest club in Australia

Every ticket to their home games is actually a 1 game membership

They got 135k people across all of their home games. Collingwood only have 110k members. With every ticket being a full membership, they'd be in the lead!

Jack Macrae also requested a trade.

I don't see Bevo lasting past 2025.
I can't see the link between those two statements.
MacRae is cooked and has been dropped many times, somewhat like Daniel.
Are you saying Bevo shouldn't have eased him out?

If Nicks had done the same with Laird, would you say that should cause Nicks to be sacked? ;)
