And so lovely to see Evonne Goolagong Cawley present the trophies too!

Barty and Collins played in the 3rd round here last year (Collins won in 3 sets) - I paid $10 to see that match! Little did we know it would be a preview of a Grand Slam Final less than a year later.

Nadal and Djoker ??
So can Nadal get the record number of slams which Djoker could have had if he bothered to get the vaccination...

Pinot not my favourite, but ok when decent fruit & flavour in a cooler climate

Ashton Hills do a decent one.

Grenache - Kay Brothers & Kalleske both do good drops.

Yangarra High Sands Grenache (Mclaren Vale 2017) - absolutely outstanding drop if you enjoy a nice velvetty smooth Grenache, perfect with Lamb/Kangaroo.

You do realise why Muslims can’t promote alcohol right? It’s more than discomfort for them.

There is a world of difference between ‘My beliefs are this and I have to do this to stick to my beliefs’ and ‘These are my beliefs. You will conform to them or else’.

At no stage has she vilified the LGBTIQ community with her decision to sit out the game. She believes her religion means she couldn’t wear the guernsey GWS were going to wear last night, so she made herself unavailable. Now, if GWS decide to have an Australian Christian Lobby themed guernsey next week, their LGBTIQ players would almost certainly sit out the game because their sexuality would mean they cannot support wearing that guernsey.

Look, this is the last I'll say on it because people clearly have set beliefs.

But if she had said she was sitting out indigenous round because she couldn't support wearing that guernsey, then I'm sure people would see that as an act of vilification. She doesn't need to release a press statement on her dismissal of LGBTIQ players to be clearly prejudiced.

It's an acceptance round, and she's refusing to accept them. Simple as that.

You can think that's excusable on the grounds of superstition, and I guess it is. But I wouldn't want to play with someone who thought I was unacceptable.

How mentally tough is Ash with the weight of a nation on her shoulders and down 5-1 in the 2nd set just calmly works her way back in to that set and won it.

Ash is amazing, she is clearly the number 1 womens player in the world, her back hand slice is what unsettles so many players, they just don't know how to handle it. Plus her serve is super reliable.

It's you with the set belief. If you can't see the difference between making a decision based on genuine religious grounds and straight up bigotry then I don't think you'll ever understand. You keep using analogies that don't stack up. And she clearly accepts them, but marketing the cause is a step too far.

Elaine:
Do you believe in God?

David Puddy:
Yeah...

Elaine:
Is it a problem for you that I'm not religious?

David Puddy:
No.

Elaine:
Why not?

David Puddy:
I'm not the one going to hell.
