I swear every game I watch makes my depression about how bad we are and the terrible decisions the club has made worse. Im best to tune out completely from all AFL TBH
Just stick to watching neutral games. The last month has seen some unbelievably good matches.

If you just keep at it, eventually your spirit will be broken and you'll feel nothing at all when watching games.

I think that's what he's saying. The class difference between top 8 matches and ours are depressing to watch.
Our club being a steaming heap of shit shouldn't detract from watching a good spectacle but can respect his decision if he finds watching other games painful.

I won't be upset if my lad decides to support a different club (unless it's Port).

They are all experience sides playing to get into the top 8 or are already in the top 8 so have more to play for this late in the season. Take out the first quarter and we were competitive away against a side fighting for top 4 just like we were against Collingwood last week and in both games we have seen the younger players (along with Walker and Laird) keeping us in the game.

Decision need to be made about Smith and Brown end of this season who are clearly both cooked, Sloane and Seedsman will retire end of next year and possibly Walker and then there's Crouch who doesn't fit our midfield group so our list will get even younger than currently is. Some say the Hawks are around our mark but if you look at their experience players who's output are better than our you can see their list demographic isn't that of a total list rebuild which ours is going through.

I can't watch any other games anymore. Watching better teams is not enjoyable while we languish. 5 years of shitness has taken its toll. Will watch the gf though.

GWS are "managing " Tom Greene and Jesse Hogan tomorrow.
Seems like they really want that pick 3!!
They won't win another game. We will beat up on north who clearly want pick 1 and nicksy will get his chest out bleating how good we are by beating a tanking team. Lol. You know that's how they will roll. I would prefer the NFL lottery system for pick 1.

Shorty didn’t mind attacking, even via PM.

Ultimately he was a sycophant who didn’t like Hamish being questioned. I dare say he came to the realisation he couldn’t defend him anymore with a straight face.

He'd get very personal at times too and then complain about return fire. Was mostly ok, but leaned the way of those types that feel they're allowed to criticise but others aren't.

no decision will be made on smith or brown, both locked in for round 1 2023 assuming not injured. Sloane too and he won't be retiring, he'll be going public with a want to extend and we'll do it.

Anyone know why "hey shorty" has exited the building...usually enjoyed most of his posting...not all mind you? :)
I think the club stopped paying him and he had enough with how bad the crows are. One can only put up with so much I guess.

So how *ed are Port in coming years ?

They look like us circa '18/19

I agree, I think there's a lot of pain coming.

Those Port supporters who think that sacking Ken is going to lead to multiple premierships are kidding themselves, that window is gone.

If you look at Port's list there's a lot of average players on their list that aren't in the 30+ age bracket.

They have a huge hole in their list in the mid to late 20s age bracket due to trading away a lot of their picks during that period for "missing pieces"

In terms of their under 25s, yeah they have Rozee and Butters and Marshall looks much improved this year, but who else? Georgiadis looks okay as a 3rd tall, but guys like Houston and Drew etc are B graders and Duursma has never recovered from dropping that mark against Richmond in the 2020 Prelim.

This year is the start of the fall off the cliff, they'll most probably back themselves in for 2023, keep Gray, Dixon and Boak for another year and attempt to sell false hope to the supporters, but my prediction is that they'll miss the 8 again and Ken will be moved on and they'll start talking rebuilds.

Walker has re- signed. Will be playing on . We need to trade smith. Brown should retire. Hawks youngsters are better quality than ours

I think it's pretty much a given that Ken will still be there next year.

Port are in that awkward spot where financially it's beneficial for them to keep selling the dream to their supporters.

They'll load up again next year trying to convince their supporters that 2022 was just a blemish.
I’m looking forward to seeing just how many missing pieces rejected spuds choose to have no other option but to go to destination heaven shithole Port. It’s been amusing in the past and I’m sure nothing will change.

Just did my ladder predictor & have Port still 1.5 games outside the finals.

Still a lot of games to go, but too many teams need to fail for them to make it... particularly if both Bulldogs & Suns win tonight (I assumed they both lose).

8th - Richmond 50 - 12.5 wins
9th - Bulldogs 48 - 12 wins
10th - Port 44 points - 11 wins
11th Suns 44 points - 11 wins
12th Saints 44 points - 11 wins

I have us moving up to 15th above Giants with wins over Weagles & North. Hopefully we remain 16th for pick #3.
Reckon we do our usual thing and lose to the Eagles over there.

Was Tom Atkins the player that looked decent but couldn’t get a game very often? Or was that constable?
He was great last night.
