Brownlow fave. He'll somehow escape with a fine, showing everyone how corrupt the AFL are
Just watched the replay on the afl site. Leigh Matthews doing his best to try and downplay the incident as him trying to spoil the ball… even though he makes no real attempt to spoil or grab the ball. He instead turns his body sideways, jumps well of the ground, hits Ah Chee square in the head with his shoulder and causes him concussion…

There is no way that Cripps doesn’t get a game for that. There were any number of other options available to him but he chose to jump off the ground and bump. Has to go.

Leigh Montagna on First Crack reckons he'll get 2

In the end, Gold Coast getting nothing for Jack Martin appears to have been fair value

The fact that the incident was high impact and severe, he leapt on the ground when he had alternative action he could have taken, coupled with the player being subbed out and most likely missing next week.

Cripps should get 3 games, but will get 2.

How have the media not picked up how dysfunctional the Port Power forward line is?

We have scored 14 more points than them over the first 20 rounds.
You expect the media to be critical of Port? Where have you been the last 10 years?

Their season has been nothing short of a disgrace compared to their and the media's expectation. Ours has been about what was expected. Yet most coverage has been about how disappointing we have been. We might finish above them yet!

Yeah, yeah, but injuries.

Fantasia and Lycett make them a 10 goal better side.

Their development is also poor the last few years.

Which of their players have improved this year?

I've been saying for months he won't be there next year. Always been a matter of timing.
I think even Hartlett said on AA tonight Ken might step down .

Loved that old lady that called up and said she switched over to ABC as she thought Wildy was barracking for Richmond 😂😂

Not sure if mentioned but the Kane Cornes afl.com.au 'round so far' on Saturday night had Kane mention 'in the next 2 weeks Port have a decision to make about the coach' (or words to that effect) I havent heard him say that before and I am extrapolating that to mean Ken is gone this year (unfortunately). And to make matters worse, their list and Footy Dept is definitely better than Roos and likely above the Giants, meaning I wonder if Clarko comes into play for them...

If you thought some of our posters had the playstation trades going, try the Port board.

Houston for a top 10 pick from GC
Bergman for Poulter+2nd rd pick
Target Ben MacKay, 800k a year a costs an early first rounder...they might have their twins mixed up there

Houston at best is late first rounder or early second rounder

The Bergman trade sounds reasonable to me. Collingwood haven't played Poulter much and the second would be well after 30.

Not sure I'd want to give up a top pick for Ben McKay but he'd be a good target for Port's woeful defense. They've overvalued him though

I think we should start a petition calling for Kane Cornes to coach Port

Let him put his vast knowledge and experience into making Port a powerhouse

I don’t think there is any way Ken will coach the pear next year.

Wonder who they will get in as their new coach ?
Kochie was on the radio this morning and refused to say anything bad about Ken specifically, just said their football program needs tweaking

They can't pay him out (as the AFL has final say over whether they can) so he will 100% be the coach next year

Have to be able to afford him, which they can't
