None of these are elite midfielders, you surely have the chance of getting one by drafting one high up the chart.
Says who?? The media is finally giving Soligo the credit, Rachele is the early pick 6 elite midfielder you want and Rankine was pick 3 in the "Super draft" and played midfield in his junior years so another early pick elite midfielder you want.

He’s played 16 games but yes looks a very good prospect.
Rachele doesn’t play many minutes in the middle and Rankine prefers to play forward (and doesn’t play many minutes in the midfield) according to VB.

Rozee didn't initially play many midfield minutes as well. When he was drafted he played mainly in the backline for the Roosters and then in the forward line at Port Power until his 4th year.

Agreed. Not since I saw a 19/20 year old Buckley and Dangerfield have I seen a kid who is a certainty to be a superstar midfielder. In 2 years JHF, Rozee and Butters will be an elite midfield combination for 6 to 8 years.

I give myself a migraine every time I think that Ogilvie is still at the club making key decisions.
Careful. Talk about Port in such glowing terms and some on here will call you a port fan. We’re not allowed to rate their midfield/young list 😜

Yeah, but you would have thought being a Crows "supporter" you would have some basic football knowledge of the development of our midfield and it's not as far apart as Port Power supporters think ;)

You gotta be pretty dynamic to play midfield as a 17yo in the sanfl (see JHF)
I certainly hope Josh’s minutes increase significantly this year.

I agree, not 100% sure they will keep Butters though. Big Melbourne Clubs are going to offer him more money than Port will be able to. Even so it's built for the future if they can get other parts of their team worked out.

But it’s so far apart it’s not even funny. We’re hoping Rankine, Rash become midfielders. But what I saw in one quarter today was scary from three Port lads are already bonafide midfield freaks. Takes no knowledge at all. Just a set of eyes. Add Pickett and I might crawl under a rock and sleep until it’s all over. It’s going to be unbearable being the bridesmaid in this town for the next 10 years. Because we must get used it.

They’ll ship out bow and arrow and could probably afford to lose wines.
