Tim Silvers to be found as the architect and mastermind after the AFL investigation. Which involves interviewing Caro and McLure. Clarko and Fagan mere Patsys acting on Silvers orders. Both exonerated and keep their jobs.

Surely if you were innocent your immediate reaction would be to deny all allegations?

That would be the most natural impulse sure, but I'm fairly confident it would go against any sound legal advice.

These are some fairly heavy duty accusations, the dealings of which will most likely extend beyond an in-house report and AFL sanctions and into a Court room.

Except they're allegations arising from a completed investigation with a subsequent report.

That is, they've been tested and at least prima facie substantiated.

Not just someone making allegations over twitter or the like.

I admit to not having done my homework. Is there a link to the entire report available?

It definately looks like the AFL have tried to hide it, they would have been aware since the beginning of the year but nothing has been said.

Today also shows the "compromised" relationships between media and the AFL ....particularly with SEN, who are mutually dependent on each other

Whateley gave the scandel minimal attention, preferring to discuss GF week matters .....most guests had a cursory question about the HAW situation .....just to show, he hadn't completely ignored it ....obviously under instructions from Hutchinson, not to derail Grand Final week

Jackson has then confirmed what the report says with the relevant players.

Seems bloody unlikely that the allegations aren't substantially if not completely accurate.

I'm not doubting the allegations were made or the accuracy of the reporting over the allegations.
I don't see how this substantiates the allegations in any way? How do you reach that conclusion based on what's been reported?

You're missing the point. The article is based on Hawthorn's commissioned review. The allegations are contained within that report.

I'm not sure that is true. I think there were allegations made, and then further investigation by the journalist. I suspect they told the journalist more than the investigation.
