Hawthorn racism allegations: Alastair Clarkson and Chris Fagan named in shocking allegations of baby loss, self-harm and trauma

Shocking and devastating allegations of self-harm, pregnancy loss, and intergenerational trauma have been made against the Hawthorn Football Club. Read their response.
Did Tex or the camp get a mention?

I'm not doubting the allegations were made or the accuracy of the reporting over the allegations.
I don't see how this substantiates the allegations in any way? How do you reach that conclusion based on what's been reported?

Until the entire report is available for viewing, we can't really know.

I would assume that a report about these issues would include discussions with the people against whom the allegations are made? If not, that would be a huge hole in the report. But as I said, we don't really know.

And what would be the basis of a court case ??

Depending on the creativity of any Legals involved I'm thinking it could be anything from Liable,Unfair dismissal to Intimidation, extortion or kidnapping based on what's known.
I'm not suggesting any particular basis, but I'm confident there exists a very real threat of Legal action from either side.
This is much, much bigger than our Pre season Camp.

I'm not sure that is true. I think there were allegations made, and then further investigation by the journalist. I suspect they told the journalist more than the investigation.
yep, that is my understanding. The people talked to Jackson, and he has seen the emails

Agreed 100%.

Robbo saying Clarkson and Fagan should quit
At least stood down pending the investigation.

Untenable for them to continue with this investigation going on.

And found true removed from the game/industry forever.

Robbo didn't miss us in his article but..

"You don’t want to believe it’s true.

To demand an abortion to aid a player’s career is beyond comprehension.

Fagan and Clarkson are decent people, family loving people.

Yeah, they are determined and driven, and these allegations will rock them to their core.

There will be context and/or denials, but - if true - not sure there’s any imaginable context that places human life above playing football.

The AFL has no choice.

Neither does North Melbourne.

Franky, if true, neither does Clarkson and Fagan.

They must step down today.

This is a time for action from the AFL. Not words. Not promises. Not backslapping about how inclusive football is.

This is yet another example of the intergenerational trauma suffered by Indigenous players.

Eddie Betts revealed the horrors of the Adelaide camp where white people told black people how to think, what to say and banned them from the leadership program.

There was also the well-documented racism at Collingwood.

In both those scenarios, no one was punished by the AFL."

In this case, the AFL must finally take a stand, be the leaders they say they are.

Not only is the whole football world looking at the AFL, so too, is the sporting world.

This story will sweep the globe, just as the Essendon supplement saga did.

These allegations are much, much worse.

That was about needles.

This is reportedly about an unborn child.

If true, the legacies of high-profile people will be destroyed fore
ver.

"Clarkson just leaned over me and demanded that I needed to get rid of my unborn child and my partner. I was then manipulated and convinced to remove my SIM card from my phone, so there was no further contact between my family and me. They told me I’d be living with one of the other coaches from that night onwards.”

Gobsmacking.
Trying really hard to see a different perspective here. Did he mishear, was the message less abominable than that and the memory is clouded?

I got nothing. This eclipses the Essendon drug scandal

Hard not to when building a case that it is a problem within the entire AFL.

TBH, no one I have seen thinks or is saying the camp is anything close to how bad this is. Most comparison is with Essendon and the roids, and saying this is much worse and thus the penatlies need to reflect that

Not too bad from Robbo.

Puts what we did in context to this. In doing so drawing a line in which the media can not lump our actions in with this.
