Alir was a shadow after he came back on.
Was straggling Tex and all over him physically.
He came on, they moved Burton/McKenzie on him. Alir played loose every chance. Didn't go in hard at all. He is usually very hard at the man and ball.

Someone should investigate Ports opponents when players get concussed and the players that get concussed.AFL fine Port Adelaide $20,000 over Hartlett concussion incident | Port Adelaide | The Guardian
Port Adelaide have been fined $10,000 for failing to follow AFL regulations when assessing Hamish Hartlett after he received a head knock in round 16amp.theguardian.com
2nd time they’ve been caught and sticking to the same script
Doc should be expelled from the league if they’re serious.
The HIA is just the Medico assessing the vision and deciding if a concussion test (SCAT5) needs to take place. The actual test takes 15 minutes. So Ports Dr looked at that vision and made the call that only Jones required further assessment - which is mind boggling if true.Would be a total pisstake if the league just take this at face value and move on. If he did undergo an HIA he had to be off for a minimum of 15 minutes and he wasn't - pretty clear cut case.
I may have concussion judging by how long that took meCrows fan over the fence, “hey Aliir what’s 1 + 1 + 9”
I doubt they even did a concussion test or if they did Sunday morning they will hide it under doctor patient confidentiality. Port are a genuine scum club.Alir was a shadow after he came back on.

Yay for West Coast.
Lol @ Norf
Very physical stillTo be honest, he was like that before the hit. Fumbly from the off, wasn’t reading the play at all.
I’m not sure any port player would know that, concussed or notCrows fan over the fence, “hey Aliir what’s 1 + 1 + 9”
Still..they played Alir Alir when he shoukd have been out of the game and that impacted the game when it shouldn't have and port tried to manipulate the result outside of the AFL rules on concussion ..so port need to be sanctioned for that and then on top Alir and Jones should be sat out for the 12 daysNot that this is anything ground breaking or something we don't all already know, but I spoke with a friend who is a doc for an AFL club this morn. He was pretty clear that the Port doc has f***ed up massively on this. Suspects the AFL Chief MO will come over the top and force Port to sit Aliir and Jones out for the mandatory 12 days.
This is why we as not doctors have every right to question the doctors callIf the doctor saw the vision, and determined that no concussion test was required, he must have determined:
(a) Neither player lost consciousness at all (as this would require immediate withdrawal from the game, and entering concussion protocols - subbed off.
and also determined that NONE of the below were apparent:
b. Requires immediate removal from play for further assessment (including SCAT5)
10. Lying motionless (for > 2 seconds)
11. Possible no protective action in fall to ground
12. Possible impact seizure or tonic posturing
13. Possible motor incoordination
14. Possible dazed, blank/vacant stare
15. Possible behaviour change atypical of the player
16. Any clinical impression or uncertainty from the club doctor that the player is not quite right following trauma
re: 11 - this is "it's possible that the player didn't protect themselves in the fall", if it's definite that this has happened, that is withdrawal from the game immediately, like (a) above.
Yeah agree there should be some sort of sanction on the club. He did also suggest this, But that's up for debate.Still..they played Alir Alir when he shoukd have been out of the game and that impacted the game when it shouldn't have and port tried to manipulate the result outside of the AFL rules on concussion ..so port need to be sanctioned for that and then on top Alir and Jones should be sat out for the 12 days
Accusations of medical malpractice are just a different level to not been good at a footy related job.And why are doctors so that infallible? Media commentators question the decision making of coaches, players, umps all the time. Why is a doctor any different? They get paid well to make the correct decisions.
Yeah that's why they take the oath. that's why they are paid so well. They should be scrutinised. They have a great deal of power and responsibility. Giving them a free pass because 'they're a doctor' doesn't cut the mustard.Accusations of medical malpractice are just a different level to not been good at a footy related job.
I tend to agree. However, when questioning an expert in their field, you need actual evidence.Yeah that's why they take the oath. that's why they are paid so well. They should be scrutinised.
