It's ironic that out of all clubs it was a Collingwood player doing it that made them finally start umpiring it properly. 100% agree though. Absolute rubbish that he made a career out of it. They tried to curb it at one stage, then proceeded to umpire it different for everyone else and keep paying them to Selwood. But a Collingwood kid does it a few times and it's a crisis.
Its pretty much fxxked that collingwood lads career too..

he can now just about have his head taken off in a clearly high tackle and the umps call play on!.. He’s become a liability in the opposite way to collingwood now.

and I’m not sure if I now feel a bit sorry for the kid or I think hahaha, eat a dick ya little cheating flog.. karma has come back to bite you.

I'm sort of in the middle. I hate that he did it, it's a pretty cheap move. But it's what everyone had been saying for years, Selwood gets praised for it so kids will grow up doing it. Well then one does and makes the big time, and well, we can't have you doing that.

He's not in the squad, which is probably a bit rough. They've gone the AA route not picking players who genuinely play those positions.

I think he and Worrell will make it next year. Hopefully TT, Rachele and Pedlar keep progressing and we could have 5 in the team
Worrell is already 22, he won't be eligible next year

Probably more that Bobbie Hill plays a similar role and is just better at it

Some retirement speeches are from the heart. Emotional, teary, impactful.

Trent Cotchin's bland note reading at the other end of the spectrum.

Have never warmed to him in the slightest. Just find him vanilla and dull. Maybe in part it's because he skippered the team who broke our club's spirit irreparably and from which we may never recover...? Or maybe he's just a bit of a bore

Dirty player, got away with more than most others have. That’s why I can’t stand him.

Caro running with "Kenny has signed on for two more years".

So after Port Powah help us by beating GWS, early next week Kochie will be able to make the extension announcement.

Happy Days.

Was in Melbourne recently looking at how some of the big facilities operate...

Based on this part of the conditions of entry ... Surely we can get every supporter for ANY Victorian team banned - and play in front of an empty stadium next time we are there in a final?

Close game tonight?

Fun Facts with Grotto

Since 2022 Geelong has not lost by 40+

The last time they lost by 40+, was during the "Covid Pandemic :drunk:", in Finals Week 3 at Optus Stadium vs Dees.

EDIT - That was the game that later coach Chris Scott would go on to say that his players were hit hard by the flu as well but didnt want to use that as an excuse.

Is anyone of the opinion that the Hinkley hate is just a little bit OTT? He's got them sitting top 4 all year, top 2 for most of it. Still a legitimate chance of a flag. I get his history, but s**t, there's a reasonable chance he gets them a premiership this year. Then what?
The problem is they are craving finals success & Hinkley hasn't managed to get them into a grand final... not so easy in the AFL compared to the SANFL.

Can Carr though...
