Ken will be coaching Port into 2026/7. If he wants to.


Funny part being the carrot of that job will be dangled in front of Josh Carr. Perform well as Assistant Coach, he might be Head Coach one day. Perform too well though and make Finals Hinkley will stay though.

While I just said it’s obvious they wanted to wait to make sure they were able to win finals a big part of me does think Ken had a 2yr extension for making it but they didn’t want to reveal

Would make sense with the early timeline of wait til august to discuss (becomes apparent if made it but never was going to reveal their performance IN the finals)

3 hours, the dialogue within that movie and complex themes it would probably be a bit beyond Kenny anyway.

This year has worked out perfectly. At the start of the year it seemed as though Port had to go deep into Finals for Ken to get an extension. Port go on their 13 game winning streak and it becomes clear they will finish top 4, lots of external noise and pressure to extend Ken and they pull the trigger to avoid any distraction before Finals. Then as we all could predict they fall in a heap come any pressure in Finals and they are now stuck with him for another 2 years.

Without the winning streak and top 4 finish they likely would have waited to the end of the season and he probably would have finished up this year.

It's not like their doctor to do something dodgy to try and cover something up.

Didn’t expect Port to win but to get smashed like that must be pretty demoralizing. Expect them to win next week but can’t see them getting close to the Pies at the MCG.

Port have an incredible midfield but their forward and back line are terrible. Need to address it if they want to seriously contend.

Is Dixon back next week? While I didn’t think will be the difference, is very important to their structure.

Port winning next week is no certainty. GWS are a serious side chock full of talent. If they bring their A game next week Port wont get near them.
