GWS will be too tough for them
The giants midfield can match Port midfield and I can’t see a good match up for Toby Green
The Giants defence have been tough as nails this year and ports forward line is a shambles
They key for the giants will be starting well, they have been slow starters this year so they need to not give port a sniff early

Port will be favourites and will probably win, but things can turn around quickly. Port beat Geelong at KP in the penultimate round of the 2007 H&A season and we all know how that season ended.
Even last year, Melbourne thrashed Brisbane at the Gabba by 70 points in the final round and then lost to them at the G in the semi, just two matches later.

Its a similar scenario with Dees vs Blues.
Blues won only a few weeks back and Dees are short priced favs to win.
They still sell Coke at AO as well.
But Pepsi is AFL.

True, but that game came down to just about the last kick. There's been blowouts in the H&A season that have reversed in the finals match-up.
GWS vs Bulldogs in 2019 another example.

Elimination Final: GWS won by 58 points @ the same venue

It's such an incredibly dumb association...and it blew up in their face. Pun intended.
Losing to GWS and going out in straight sets will be the best thing for Port.
It will increase any scrutiny and may make them change a few things.
Beating GWS and making a Prelim will be given a tick. Especially losing to Collingwood at the G. A tough game. Roll on to 2024 with some positivity
They will spin it as a positive season and only missing out on the Brisbane loss, and home Prelim, due to bad kicking early and injuries late in the game.
I hope they pump GWS, don't think they will. But long term the home final win sugar hit is the better outcome.

What do you expect them to change? Going out in straights is by far the best outcome. Their preseason will be one of doubt and no matter where they are placed next year that doubt will remain.
Bedsides seeing them out in straight sets will be glorious.
