Or do they follow a crows of 2012 type script.

Crap first week, bounce back in a poorly attended home game, then take it right up to the premiership favourites on the G.

I’ll take the elimination this week to be safe.

Huge part of the Power's PR strategy is telling everyone they are a big club, that they are a great team, that they are relevant.

Just keep hammering it home.

This strategy falls apart if they again fail to even reach a grand final.

'Fake it til you make it' - doesn't really work if you never make it.

My favourite part is how they are the family club and they look after their players like no club does....except when you pass your usedby date and then your out on your arse. Like Boak.

That’s the part I don’t get, they’ve shafted plenty of their own players and yet they still love the club, don’t get it. Is Ken a cult?

Nah, I think they have a big issue with ex players behind the scenes. We saw first hand the anger from Schulz when concussion protocols were ignored. They talk the talk, but im not convinced at all thats the truth behind the scenes. No matter the crap the club speaks or players speak when they leave, its impossible not to take it personally as a player when forced and Port like any club would have a long list of disgruntled ex players.

Idk how anyone can turn their nose up at what they’re doing with Boak… if they really are trying to let him down easy, most of us wish this club had the backbone to do the same thing with Sloane

If Boak does retires we’ll all be envious… and he’s twice the player Sloane was LOL so our decision will look even more gross. Boak does seems like someone you’d want to keep around at a club though

I’m seeing the exact same rhetoric from pear supporters too: “it’s his right to choose when his time’s up”… he’s a champ but he’s literally 35 years old

Everybody wants to be a Pendlebury it seems but it’s just not realistic

Isn't Boak on record saying he wants to play til he's 40?

Yeah, that's not happening.

Triple M just reported there’s still over 15,000 tickets unsold for Saturday nights game.

Port fans jumping off the bandwagon in droves.

I remember a couple of weirdos on this board were making hysterical statements a few weeks ago about 'how we were in danger of becoming the less supported club in SA'....

Yeah nah.
