And that is why they have money for investment propertyUnsurprising that all those 50, 60, 70 year olds aren't doing coke.
Shaun Smith too.Dale Lewis is still right
No, there is no warning on random testing... as that is the whole point of making it a surprise.Do we know how often they get tested though?
Like how often during a season would you get tested?
I somehow doubt it's every player, every week, twice a week.
And if you kinda sorta get told a test is coming up... so it's not that random... I'd think it would be pretty easy to get away with.
Hey I do coke! but I like mine with some Kraken and ice.Unsurprising that all those 50, 60, 70 year olds aren't doing coke.
Doesn't ASADA do the testing though, rather than the AFL... because otherwise the AFL lose their commonwealth funding? You're misunderstanding the situation. You need to look at it from the sports/leagues perspective. If they tested everyone and 50% are testing positive, the black mark against the sport and league would be catastrophic. Loss of sponsorship monies would be huge.
Ultimately it's in the AFL's best interest for no one to test positive apart from a handful of no name players who can act as sacrificial lambs to make the league look tough on drugs. It's a bit of a balancing act between enforcing and turning a blind eye. The clubs not reporting on players 1st strike helps.
NBA is notorious for letting players get away with murder. You want to know why Lebron is playing basketball at a higher level and for longer than Jordan...? There is more smoke than an Aussie bushfire. The NFL is pretty lenient too but so they should be, half the league plays in position where they are literally brutally tenderized every game.

I reckon a lot more than people are willing to admit. I’m a bit shocked people are acting so indignant, as if a bunch of 18-29 year old males straight out of high school and given a load of cash aren’t within the exact at risk population. there’s also been a coke surge in the last 5 years or so, it’s absolutely everywhere when you go out (sorry to the over 40s who are in bed by 8pm—ie mostly anyone who still uses forums; ps that is close to including me too btw don’t get angry at me) and I know this may break the illusion for some of you but after games and during off season them players aren’t going home to their long term partners to catch up on would I lie to you or muster dogs.
Start with the percentage of players that go out and regularly get shitfaced on the piss. Then the number that do coke as well would be somewhat commensurate with that.I’m going to need links to peer-reviewed studies
He wasn't tested. Can't test positive if you don't get tested in the first place.I still don't know how Ben Cousins being off his face on meth didn't count as "performance enhancing". He was playing like a superhuman.
Did they not do tests back then?He wasn't tested. Can't test positive if you don't get tested in the first place.
In full glory...2023 Inaugural Crows Funniest Poster of the Year Competition.
I am pleased to announce that the Inaugural Winner of The Funniest Crows Poster of 2023 is Drugs Are Bad Mackay?
He wins the Inaugural Badge and Platinum Membership with Bigfooty.
The decision is final and was based not just on one post alone but multiple posts on the Crows Board in 2023.
However in particular we could not go passed this post of his in 2023.

Opinion - Non-Crows AFL 6: This Is Getting Cruel
If you get caught snorting drugs in a pub toilet a few weeks out from Round 1 then it's not your first time. And… going into a toilet cubicle with another bloke, deep inside the territory of a parochial opposition team.. just plain dumb.www.bigfooty.com
In a very close 2nd Place was GrommoT with so many posts but in particular this one stood out.

Third Place and from "left field" goes to Kane McGoodwin with his photographic skills and keen attention to detail in the Showdown.

Game Day - SHOWDOWN 54: CROWS (est 1991) vs PLASTIC TEAL FRANCHISE (est 1997) - Crows 112 def Port 65. Plastic Teal Franchise Torn Apart.
At the game. McAdams pressure and presence in the forward line had been elite. Crouch…..good? Port fumbly. Need to capitalise on the errors. Win more clearances, ground ball and don’t all commit to the contest we need loose players for the ground ball. McAdams attack on the ball has...www.bigfooty.com
The biggest "controversial decision" would have been a North Melbourne poster winning the Award and very unlucky not to. However in 2023, it was only open to Crows posters.
The post by SammyRoo was right up there in contention. Your posting in 2023 was not only appreciated, but very much welcomed.
Opinion - Non-Crows AFL 8 - Daddy Donuts Delivers Dream Drubbing
Is that 0 and 1 in finalswww.bigfooty.com
I am pleased to announce that the Funniest Poster of the Year will continue in 2024 and just like the Vics allowed Crows to enter the competition, non-Crows posters are eligible.
A special thank you to the moderators. in no particular order, Scorpus brucetiki CrowinNT relapse and Drugs Are Bad Mackay? who not only allowed for the Award to take place on their board but oversaw the competition as well.
Finally a very very special thank you to Chief that not only provided for the award in 2023 and for it to continue in 2024, but also for providing a wonderful well supported forum to allow like minded people who follow footy to engage freely.
Thank you.

And shave every hair off of your body, after a tumultuous time including a completely messed up rehab attempt in California, immediately prior to being signed off to join RihcmuntHe wasn't tested. Can't test positive if you don't get tested in the first place.
I’m 50 this year.. I still love to have the odd night here and there on the channel nine’s…Unsurprising that all those 50, 60, 70 year olds aren't doing coke.

Dale Lewis is still right
He was vilified probably 15 years ago for publicly say it was an issue amongst playersWhat did he say?
Nothing to do with afl. It was in competition. They are WADA rules. The perfect low profile scapegoat for the AFL to demonstrate its 'tough' stance on drugs.......
It's like everyone forgot about Willie RioliNothing to do with afl. It was in competition. They are WADA rules.
