Just hearing on Rowey's show that Angus Brayshaw has 5 years left on his contract. I assume he gets a full payout. Does anyone know if he remains on Melbourne's inactive list for those 5 years and does Melbourne carry his contract for those 5 years.
Sydney had to keep Tippo on their list for 2 years after he retired to pay out his contract. I imagine the same will happen here.

If Tarryn has been sacked, then surely his 18 game suspension should apply at any new club he would sign for in the future. This being because he's sacked and isn't eligible for games on that basis alone

So for example if Geelong recruited him in 2025, he'd have to serve 18 games on the list before he could be selected, because those would be the next games he is eligible to play

That would be an abhorrent application of the sanction.

His 18 games apply to all levels so technically even though he’s no longer AFL listed he’s still serving a ban

Also he’s not technically delisted yet.hes been told he will be now they are going finalise the details on his that looks

Plus- getting sacked because of an 18 game ban is an added penalty, not grounds to hold it over!

I'm generally curious why the AFL needed to investigate? On first impressions is it that they think Norths board is useless?

There is a process to follow. There was a complaint made to the AFL, he was pretty much done as a North player regardless of the outcome, him breaching his contract with the AFL impacts things like what if anything he gets paid on the way out the door.

True although it would have been an interesting technicality if it was specifically an AFL level ban and he was sacked before games started this season.

Being banned for AFL games that you can't play because you're sacked is a bit like a player serving a suspension when they're injured and wouldn't have played anyway

C'mon. Did Goodwin have his team stripped back to the youngest and most inexperienced team in the competition? Nope.

Nicks round 1 team in 2020 had a midfield of Brad Crouch, Matt Crouch and Rory Sloane alongside 9 other players that played in our 2017 grand final (Walker, Smith, Laird, Lynch, Ratkins, Seedsman, Talia, Brown, Kelly).

He also had Bryce Gibbs and the addition of first round talent that wasn't around to play in the 2017 Grand Final - Milera, FOG, Jones, McAsey.

Nicks Round 1 team had an average age of 25.4 years and 94 games experience. We were the 10th oldest team out of 18. Our oldest player was Sloane who had just turned 30.

This team lost 13 games in a row and only kicked more than 10 goals twice in 18 matches.

We've seen this been put forward before.

Conveniently leaving out the whole background as to why we had a new coach to begin with.

I'm not even the biggest Nicks fan, but at least be real.
