That makes no sense. it’s a knock out competition

They play the seconds because other fixtures are more important

These are all things I would talk to you about if I could be bothered so let's allow you to fight it out with others while I know I am correct and you, ya little bloody cutey, assume you are correct.

The big difference is saying a racial slur to a player who is black and making a homophobic comment to someone who is straight. If it was an outwardly gay player I would agree 100%
The Tex sledge wasn't made to a black player, it was made to a team mate & overheard/reported by an indigenous crows trainer.
A homophobic comment can be taken as offensive by anyone who heard it. A player may have a brother, nephew, friend, or father who is gay and not want to tolerate it. In a league that stands for equality yet "doesn't have any" gay players, would (or should) very much treat any discriminatory behaviour the same way.

You have Grotto on your side. Let that sink in

A weird unit who compares The Spectator - an incredibly influential publication who is currently subject to a takeover bid by the Qatari Government, which is being blocked by the UK Government because of the undue influence in public life - with something like this:

That ought to alarm you

Homophobia is homophobia, no matter who it’s aimed at

Never more uncomfortable than looking for something at Bunnings eh Jobe?
So I spose the Commentary Box just comes naturally then?! 🤪
Conspiracy Theory: Do you think Jobe sports an ear piece with Tim feeding him lines? (Cirano De Berg. Style)
He seems to say nothin.. then boom, comes through with a f@&n' unholy rush of stats, opinions ramblings & cliches that sound fairly f@$n less than natural.

*Though having heard Tim before,
I'm thinking there's a third shooter...
no-way those two clowns would know what a "Book Depository" is.

Maybe the New York Times owned The Athletic can’t compare with Grotto’s basement blog, but you might find this interesting from May 2022

A couple of key paragraphs

“The FA Cup will always have that charm and nostalgia to draw in newcomers such as Klopp and Tuchel, but its slide down the list of priorities for England’s biggest clubs is undeniable.”

“The FA Cup remains a competition worth winning but in a season that saw Manchester City rest several influential players for their semi-final against Liverpool last month, we face regular reminders there is usually something more important demanding focus.”

“Club owners have very different priorities, too. Louis van Gaal and Antonio Conte lifted FA Cups with Manchester United in 2016 and Chelsea in 2018 but were both sacked within weeks of those triumphs.

United’s failure to defend the trophy they won as part of their treble in 1999, owing to their involvement in the FIFA Club World Championship held in Brazil at the same time the 1999-2000 third round was being played back at home, inflicted particular reputational damage.

ManU didn’t even bother to the defend the FA cup the following year after winning treble.

But if you’re Boreham Wood, then maybe it’s still got that appeal ;)
