I'm sure your point is more about how bad we were, but she'd be way off the mark. She'd struggle to compete in a strong boys u14 team.

I was channel flicking and caught to mins of the Carl/Coll AFLW match and saw two of the girls pushing and trying to intimidate each other. "Your bum looks fat in those shorts", "Your nail polish doesn't match your eyeliner".

Bye before finals sucks. How come the argument against a bye week (rather than three staggered weeks) midseason (can't let the NRL get a clear weekend) doesn't apply here?

Well you can see why the MFC and the BLFC, and then the AFL didn't want it to go further. If that gets into the public domain (the real media, not BF) and it's his sister's personal stuff out there.

That was just a rumour, it's been denied by everyone including Ryan Bastinac (the former Lion who dated Petty's sister).

I agree that the pre finals bye is annoying… but I can live with it as a necessary evil as such. It helped us in 2018. We may be clouded by the (bad) effect of 2016

Whatever made Petty cry, it must have cut deep so must have been personal. So someone from the Lions has to know him, or of him to be able to pull something out.

Lyon mass rested players a couple of times in instances where winning or losing didn't have a bearing on their ladder position but in 2015 North were in a position where had they won their last game they would play a final in Adelaide but if they lost they would play in Melbourne, so Scott mass rested players in a situation where a calculated tank would benefit their campaign (and they ended up pushing us in a PF from 8th so it worked for them). But the real reason is apparently betting companies lost a whole heap of $$$ these instances and we all know how beholden the AFL are to them and their sponsorship money so I believe we have the bye full time as a favour to them.
