I do feel for women like her. Clearly intelligent, transferrable skills, from the footy world, etc.
But because of representation quotas there will always be questions about the validity of her appointment and the minute there's something to complain about there will be sexist undertones.

I worked at one of the Big 4 banks at a time when they brought in 50% female representation quotas for leadership roles. A female manager there, fairly high up the food chain, was absolutely livid for exactly this reason. She felt her accomplishments were being undermined because less deserving women were being promoted because of a quota.

No different to when the unofficial quota was 90% male and less deserving men would have been undermining her accomplishments.

They seem to lose players left right and centre.

Its a strange one. He was getting games and game time, so that should have been enough, unless:
a) he dislikes the place; and/or
b) they are trying to shortchange him and he's getting better offers elsewhere

I am always left scratching my head at these things, wondering how we manage to retain so many of our good players while Freo can barely hang onto theirs (with a few notable exceptions).

Weird hey. A lot of them have been managed by Colin Young or whatever his name is and they often leave.

I think Duffield or someone mentioned a while ago that West Coast has enough power to tell him to pull his head in and Freo haven't been able to. Then again maybe we overpay them to stay.

They also have all of these 'Boomerang' trades like McPhee, Tarrant, Croad and stopover trades like Hill, Hogan, Acres, Lobb etc

It's really strange. I think they're just reactionary and don't plan long term.
