The AFL's understanding of this country is as suspect as ever...

I like that as well as not going there they haven't even bothered to draw the state borders of WA/SA properly. That's more difficult than getting it right.

Gympie has also relocated to about Gladstone and Darwin is now about 100km inland.

I can forgive Lismore being located in QLD however, as it explains why Greg Inglis played for the Maroons.

It will be a blow to them internally, they would have been banking on him playing and leading the side, the opportunity to put him on-ball, especially against the Dogs midfield unit. Hope they lose, think they may win this week, but yeah. Tough ask to win a flag from 5th in any case, as we well know! 😆

I don't love Fyfe but I do feel sorry for him that he is almost certain to miss all their finals this year. Even if they made a GF, I can't see them bringing him straight in.

He'd be straight back in no questions asked. Captain and 2 time Brownlow Medallist - no way he's not in their side come GF day if he's fit.

Should be fit for the aflw finals series though..

Don't insult AFLW please.

On Footy Classified after Voss was announced he basically said he'd only coach without going through interview process etc and that's why he wasn't at Carlton. So he pretty much believes he should be given a position based on reputation alone. What wouldn't surprise me is if Essendon like the idea of someone arrogant enough to think like that and just give him the job.

I can't wait to see it all unfold

He has since admitted that he would need to change his approach to get a top job and he is open to that. But he sounds like he's not fully committed to subjecting himself to the intensity of the role and the AFL system in general.

So Longmuir says about Fyfe “we’re hopeful he can play a part later in the finals series” do they all realise they’re playing an Elimination Final??? You lose and it’s season over you stupid campaigners. It’s like everyone, including the players and coaches, are all just assuming they’ll win?? I’d be using that if I was in the Dogs’ coaching group

You need an experienced player like Fyfe when you're playing your first final in 5+ years. Despite how they play without him this year they might be in trouble now.
Yeah, I could see the Bull-throws getting up, aided by a nervous Freo, a bunch of undeserved free kicks (have to fight that noise of affirmation) and a bit of rain.
