Would be much happier to go back to 2 field umpires, one for each half of the ground. Back to the basic rule of umpiring. If you can't see the incident/free kick directly don't pay a free kick.
The more umpires, the less likely they are to make decisions and the more howlers you get imo. Now if we had JK and he was getting the Curnow treatment he would have scored 200+ more goals in his career....

One umpire allowed for a consistent standard to be set and a flowing game, two covered the field better, 3 just introduced less quality / unfit umpires being accommodated, partly to fit the CBA, and now we are down the drain.
I’d have hewett above any of their youngsters.
Assuming our world class medical team can get him on the park.

Hawks have talent, I’d question Mitchell and his football department to develop them. Maybe he would/could be a good coach in charge of a more mature list.

North finish bottom get pick 1, pick 2 as free agency compo for some plodder they don’t match on, plus a heap of picks at end of round 1.
People argue west coast should split pick 3 because they need more talent and you can’t have your first two picks pick 3 and pick 40 (after academy and compo picks blow what should be pick 20 out)

Matt Hill…… he has moved into footy commentary last year on radio and this year doing radio and tv… you have probably heard him calling the Melbourne cup and all Saturday Melbourne races

Matt Hill sounds like a race caller still, he's still got the natural calling pattern of a race caller but he has a good, even voice and seems to find the pacing natural, just needs to develop his own footballing personality.
