feels like everyone bar AFL house
I read it nowhere except on here, mainly from you lately.
Geelong does have an advantage with the salary cap, because Geelong is such a big region players from the region want to play there just to be closer to their families, so they play for less money. Danger probably gets a million a year at any other team bar Geelong. They mentioned Selwood not holding them to ransom in his retirement press conference. In 2006-2011 they had all those father sons playing for less money.

Its a 1 team town. Its a bigger advantage than 2 team towns of Adelaide and Perth have in that regard.
I agree with all of this. But Yoda_ is suggesting they break the rules, when what you've said is far more likely.

pretty well known fact too that Ford has a rather over inflated fleet in the region and cotton on also has a larger than normal prescience in the Geelong region also through ambassadors also
Pity we've never partnered with a car manufacturer I guess.

Time to go read the equal opportunity act 2010

Not interested. Anything beyond what I have described is in ideological dilution of the concept which I have no time for.

Bringing in subjective feelings and experiences is the sort of thing people do when they turn their brains off. It creates an impossible standard.

If the isssue is my use of the term 'negative' you then need to reconcile that with affirmative action and diversity hiring.

Pretty sure their salary cap was managed such that no one got more money than the captain. So Selwood earned $1 more than Dangerfield when they were in their prime.

Lately Selwood’s wage would’ve dropped off and Cameron definitely gets the big bucks, but a bunch of guys on the 1-2 year contracts after 30 aren’t going to be commanding big wages.

The other thing they have is property investment opportunities and a bit of a lifestyle draw with their farms and the beach and that sort of stuff.

I don't think rules were broken, did suggest clubs push boundaries to further challenge themselves to get better

I didn’t take an issue with specific words, but I think if you want a serious part in a conversation around the allegations against Clarkson, Fagan and the Hawthorn football club you’re going to have to move past the culture wars and deepset ideological opinions about the definition of words, and consider more deeply what they’re actually likely to get strung up on in terms of their legal duty of care towards Indigenous employees in their organisation.

Does that tweet have a red heart coz you liked it or is that Bigfooty default?
Seems to be default embed code that the forum uses, it’s not a screenshot so what you see should be based on the default settings or possibly your cookies if you use twitter, wouldn’t be mine.

Although I did like and retweet that one from the bigfooty account.

Was that you stirring up Sash? Lol

Cultural insensitivity is not racism, not unless you adopt a meaninglessly broad, relativist definition of the term.

Very basically, racism is negative discrimination, action or omission based on race. Just because a negative thing happens to a person who is in a minority demographic does not mean it was racist.

If he does the same things with all players how has he not been defamed as attempting to implement the stolen generation?
For a smart and apparently logical guy you are so disingenuous sometimes. There is a massive overlap / interaction between cultural insensitivity and racism. Just because someone says some of Clarkson’s actions are culturally insensitive doesn’t mean he hasn’t also imposed racist policies/decisions.

Regardless, for Clarkson to hit the dust he doesn’t need to be proven a racist. If he was proven to have interfered in the lives of players to the extent alleged, then he is done regardless of how the AFL and society view the race element of his paternalistic bulllshit

It’s a valid point. Even fuel seems to be cheaper over there than in Melbs 😤
