All the old VFL clubs have proud traditional supporters.

If South or East Freo played in this league we’d have supporters bringing their association with them along.

One afternoon at the footy in Melbourne prior to Freo entering the comp I watched the Saints topple Carlton at Moorabin.

It was a famous victory with Plugger kicking the winning goal on the siren. There were Saints fans crying & one bloke stood on his seat & screamed “we stuck it up those silver tail bastards!”

Carlton was a club from the inner city, an area with a large Migrant population but one that became increasingly associated with wealth & power through people like John Elliot.

Much like Eddy at Collingwood Elliot was a brash, uncouth rich bastard who will forever be associated with the brown paper bags of cash that enabled Carlton to cheat the salary cap, buying premierships with the likes of Diesel Williams.

Clubs like the Saints couldn’t afford it & when generational talent like Locket came along they got lured to rich clubs. The genuinely old money club Melbourne FC were too polite to go buying players.

Carlton are typified by Steven Kernaghan shouting “we’re Carlton, **** the rest of them”.

That umpires fkd bounce was hilarious. Johnson saying he's been advocating for years about a time reset. Just not when it's against his team
I thought this would have been the sort of time you "Accidently" have an extra forward and no winger so they go straight to throwing it up instead

Adelaide have got the rub of the green at home games so far this year.

It seems this year more then most is the home town umpiring is back.
