I'm not sure if it's lack of confidence in the plan or themselves, but the decision making is so often terrible. Especially from a rolled gold player like Himmelberg. It's possible to turn it around very quickly if it is just a generic lack of confidence.

Amazing how ineffective a club can be when they’ve got a silver spoon up their a***.

Give any other side in the comp (bar GCS) the picks they’ve had and they win five premierships straight.

That is what happens when you draft a fu** load of mids (particularly in the first round) while ignoring all other positions.

Umm...Cameron, Patton, Boyd, McCarthy, Lobb...

The problem is they get feasted upon by other clubs. High pick players feel they're getting starved of opportunity while developing, or think it's ok to leave given the riches on the list.

Fair dinkum barely fired a shot there was no run, offensive system or quality ball movement.

To top it off st Kilda had no fit ruckman for last quarter and couldn't get one stoppage where i remember they broke away from.

Overall the Saints played pretty poorly tonight but played well enough in spurts to win. It wasnt pretty but grinding out the win missing two rucks cant be understated.

However this new umpiring rule cant ead. Its awful and is ruining the game. They really need to get it right and soon its going to cost a team a shot at a premiership.
