Sean Darcy allowed to brute opposition rucks out of the way, Fyfe and Brayshaw paid 4 holding frees a game, Amiss blocked 3 times a game starting a lead deep inside fifty.

Tim Kelly just done a hammy too. On the minor side though

This is a good take although Freo doesn't rate a mention.

The West Coast starting line up has very few young players - if they go with this team they are destined for a long time of sitting in the September stands.
Doesn't rate us for whatever reason. Skinny 196cm Amiss fresh off playing as the number 1 KPF and kicking 40 goals won't ever be more than a no 2 or 3 forward.

Skinny 196cm Cadman fresh off doing SFA in a vastly better team is a shoe-in to be a great no1 forward though.

Honestly can't take him seriously.

To be fair, if the only Freo game he watched last year was the GWS game (which I suspect it was) I wouldn’t rate us either.

Phil Davis is actually a bone head, hate listening to his radio segments.

I have GWS as my most talented 22 heading into this season.
Watched them live in 2 finals last year in Melbourne and couldn’t really pick out a weakness in their team to be honest. Though they were incredibly unfortunate to lose to the pies by a point and I reckon they would have beaten brisbane in the GF.

It’s good for us to be underrated and written off. Might put a rocket under a few peoples asses to come out firing and not sleepwalk into the season like last year.

Underrated because we lost one good player, a depth player and a winger that ran around get cheap possessions and 25-30m chip kicks.

The bookies have us bottom four. I still think we miss the eight on the balance of things but we won’t be bottom six. You’ve got to be next level shite to finish bottom four in WA - the home ground advantage alone will see us win 2-3 games minimum on top of home games where we’re clearly the better team anyway. That’s probably 5-6 wins at home even if we’re absolutely rubbish.

Hawthorn and Gold Coast are being massively overrated. I might be wrong about Gold Coast but I’m confident Hawthorn will be roughly the same as last year. Geelong, Essendon and Richmond less so in terms of being overrated but at least two of them will be bottom four contenders imo.

Still have nightmares of that GWS game last year. We got absolutely fisted.

Interesting take. Did you have them as the most talented after the 2022 season heading into 2023. Because on paper their list was weaker last year with Taranto, Bruhn, Hill and Hopper out, and only Bedford in, than the year before.
Something else might have made them formidable in 2023. I wonder what?

Career over if true

Tom Green and a rejuvenated Cogs are better than Taranto and Hopper, Cameron had pushed Cogs out of the middle to try and stop those two from leaving, he really was a useless coach.
Callaghan is an upgrade on Bruhn and Bedford is a different type of forward to Hill, and probably more what they needed as they have Toby as the dangerous small and needed the elite pressure Bedford brings.

Edit: and yes the coach helped a lot.

JL is nothing like Cameron. Stop.
That's true. Cameron has made two prelims and a grand final.
The point though was that the GWS list 2023 LOOKED a helluva lot more talented than their list in 2022, even though objectively it wasn't, because they had a better coach. Our list would look a helluva lot more talented with a better coach too
