But yeah, my point was definitely based around the fact we lack ruthlessness. Proven time and time again this year.

Don't know how you fix that apart from buy them all puppies. Get them to name them, take of them, love them. And then after a month take the team into the forest and have them murder those said puppies. Nothing more ruthless than that.

Port are currently second on the ladder. At the time West Coast pumped us they were third last, coming off one of the worst seasons in history. They just got destroyed at home by a banged up Carlton.

Unlikely I have been a dockers fan since 2002. If there is anything to go by in these situations, it doesn't end well.

I remember 2004 when dockers had to rely on bulldogs to beat Essendon so Freo gets in, Essendon won

Even in 2021 we could've made finals if Essendon lost and we won in the final round.

Instead we went and lost by 50 to Saints and never even gave ourselves a chance.

Side not that was a shocking season for a team to be making finals on 11 wins.

Only 2002? You've missed out on something similar happening in 1997. Only had to win one of our three last games to make the finals. That was a wide open season.

Very similar career to Pearce. Could hardly keep him on the pitch in his first few years due to injury and then just when he was building up some steam another stupid injury. This means Pearce will be an unstoppable force for the next 4 years.

West Coast in the 2x derbies played at a completely different level to how they played the rest of the season, lets be real here

Its actually disgraceful how big a gap those performances were compared to the other 21 games, I'd be ****en livid if I supported them

Everything that could've gone wrong, went wrong. Too much left to to few and when the game was on the line we couldn't find a way to win.

I once worked at a hotel in London where the Port guys were staying. Had a drink and a chat with them in Camden. Stranger things have happened.

You just know if we’re a mathematical chance next Sunday and all we need to do is win and we’re in..it will be all too hard for the boys. Essendon and Geelong games broke us. We were better against GWS with better selections but you always knew we weren’t going to close it out.

At least we mustered the strength for the great Pav in 2016 and beat the premiers in the final round.

On a non freo topic, Harley Reid today looked cooked or just had come to his senses that he’s playing for the worst team in the AFL…

He is going to be a thorn for us to deal with for the next 10-15 years.
