So no illegal activity and no one from the public was involved but we’re going to lose our shit?
Footballers never cease to amaze

Must've been something really stupid to draw anything like this
Yeah what Lach said , at what point does a private function where no one was “hurt”, non public event stay that way ?

Be having to sign NDAs to enter any functions at this rate

Yeah man, it's getting beyond a joke now.

Of course the AFL and the media will paint it as "they're representing the league and are in the public eye and need to set an example", but seriously at the end of the day they should be allowed to be whoever they want to be in the privacy of their home and amongst their friends.

Are we thinking there may be a Kim and Kanye or a Will and Jada thing going on here?

Was the 1st (and only) offensive thing that actually sprung to my mind.
I am thinking one or more couples that were an abuser and their victim is the kind of thing that might run afoul of the AFL integrity unit even if behind closed doors.

It's not enough just to behave properly in public now, we all really need to make sure that we don't do anything even in private that might offend someone.

I'd go so far as to say if you have an offensive thought you should out yourself publicly so that people have a chance to be duly offended.

Yeah I guess so.

If that's the case, who would ever want to play in the AFL if you can't even have a good time (if not a little inappropriate) in your own home.

Like I said, we don't know the whole story and it may turn out to be something incredibly egregious, but from the info we've gotten so far, just sounds like a bit of silly fun that has somehow gotten out into the public unfortunately.

I fear I may have just done that. :unamused:

Typical that people exaggerate it as if we're trending towards 1984. Never miss an opportunity to complain about the pending doom of loss of all privacy .

Most likely racist or sexual behaviour that someone or multiple persons in attendance or nearby were not pleased with. But sure, keep telling us how our freedoms are all in jeopardy based off a story with no context given.

This is probably correct. If the standard punishment for acting like a regular ******** at an end of season party behind closed doors were suspension there would be no round 1.

Yea the problem is NO ONE is innocent of doing something that others might consider offensive at sometime in their life.
Generally /probably a lot more than once too.

If it’s behind closed doors and just a bit of humour for said people then get the **** over it and move on.

I mean you may aswell cancel all stand up comedy if this is the end goal

Begins by speculating what probably happened …. Then proceeds to tell everyone to stop getting upset over … speculating what’s going to happen…

Was it banned behaviour I.e. illegal or a breach of employment contrac? Or was it just something someone found offensive? If the latter, the AFL should get back in its box.
It's hard not to exaggerate, only a few years ago Gillian Triggs who was head of the Australian Human Rights Commission said she was sad she didn't have the power to police what was said around the kitchen table

WCE seem quietly confident they can get Chad in next year, is that a win/win for us?

Either he goes down the road and blows most of his peak years in a club that's in no way competitive (assuming the only shining light in their entire club pi55's off back home)

Or he comes to us and makes our already top notch team nearly unbeatable for the next decade.

Just spitballing.

I reckon with Melbourne having no picks, if we miss on Chad we get Pickett. I'm fine either way

Of course they will be saying that, the propaganda machine will be in full spin after today's trading failure. I think he will end up at WC but I can't fault the club for not trying to convince him.
