"There's pressure on the Western Bulldogs, the second-oldest team in the league. The playing list is stacked, and they topped up with experienced veterans such as Rory Lobb and Liam Jones to plug holes in the trade period. Anything outside of a top-four finish will be a failure for newly signed coach Luke Beveridge and his aging list."

Lot of pressure on Sam Powers recruiting department one would think.

Surprising to see Gold Coast up there as the 7th oldest list.

Maybe, but not on Sam Power himself. The guy is a legend. Never been bested.

Remember that time he ignored Adrian Dodoro's phone calls.....

Just the ability to get the players to our club that we want

So just being competent at your job?

Pfft. No no one is ever going go full fanboy and write a song about that or put up a statue.

I wish we had a better recruiting team.

Remember that time that Sam Power wouldn't take Adrian Dodoro's calls?

Harley Reid in the Essendon match sims. I believe that’s Stringer he tackles (I’m not that sure btw).

First year brownlow place would be a good market to get on Reid in 2024. He looks insane.

That's great but not sure playing a team like Essendon is a great indication for how he can transition to playing against AFL sides
Believe it or not, Essendon is an AFL side.
He looks like a talent, give him some credit.

One premiership in 150 years of existence... and unlikely to double that any time soon.

I look forward to signing their promising youngsters in a few years when Gubby's backloaded deals start to bite and he decides he wants to play in someone else's salary cap.

Being from VIC the GC are just another club, and the Q clash is just another game*. Is there actually a (respectable) hatred between GC and QLD/Brisbane based Lions supporters? I seem to see more positive posts about them ^^^^ than negative.

* I think it’s great they are signing these players, and I hope their long suffering paid up members are rewarded down the track.

I know I can’t stand them ever since McKenna came out with the statement about “cleaning up the mess the Bears made down here”

I kind of like them despite the impact their existence had on our club. It's mostly due to my Queenslander 'us v the rest, chip on my shoulder' mentality though.

I don’t care how they perform on field.
But I do like it when they sign up their young talent so the big VIC Clubs don’t get their grubby mits on them.

HUH, :huh:First round player with a bonus pick 7 is not getting their grubby hands on?

Poor St Kilda fans - 57 years of pain and literally no end in sight (they have to stop digging themselves in deeper eventually right?)
Omgggg what were they thinking? If I remember correctly Ross the Boss was a Blues fan as a youngster.

adrian dodoro has never lost trade week
peter bell has a cap filled with feathers
sam power never blinks

what does dom have going for him?
Dom can boast the fact that he works for a club which is the most desirable destination club in the land. With the help of many others, his astute trading, for the moment, has all the stars aligned. For how long?
