Let’s be honest, it’s only the precious top 10-15 VIC metro players that have this attitude probably because they’ve had parents, family, friends, coaches, schools telling them how special they are and pandering to their every need that they’ve developed this level of entitlement. The example on this topic when discussing this with people I know is the Ryan Lester / Noah Answerth type player that basically would’ve gone undrafted if they were so precious and special like these top rated kids with this attitude but I agree with your point.
It’s not confined to the top 15 odd players, or to Victoria either.

The top picks are undoubtedly the more common though - guys who are comfortable that they've got a number of options and know they're getting picked. Once you start getting out of the top 20, you get into guys that are more just interested in getting drafted.

However the moment they show promise you can guarantee one or more clubs will be in their ears talking up their "homesickness".

Wouldn’t make any changes to the current system in place at the Lions.
It is working just fine!
We were close to losing Lohmann last year due to home sickness, sooooo glad he stuck around and gave it another shot.
I think it would have been pivotal re Kai's decision to stay how well we are run and how welcoming the club is at the moment... Fagan and co have fostered an elite environment to thrive on and off the football field.

Honestly, if Gold Coast can get rid of Rory Atkins I think any deal is worth it for them:

So the Suns give up pick 13 & 29 for Noble & the Pies future first and in the process gift the Pies(Who they’re competing with for a top 8 spot) Houston instead of taking a future 1st from North and dealing for Noble separately?

If that’s the case this could rival their other ridiculously bad trade moves from years past.

Its a bad deal but they are the Suns, this one doesn't even scratch the surface of their worst.

Imagine being a GC fan. Never make finals and you can’t even look forward to the trade period because you know your team is going to make some crazy trades.

In this trade they would also give up Jack Lukoscious which makes no sense at all??

Basically lukoscious pick 13 and Atkins (which Is I guess a salary dump) for noble and a future first rounder. The afl really needs to get involved and negotiate for them.

I remember we overpaid them for Ah Chee for what he was worth at the time (bargain based on output now obviously) we seem to be the only club that plays fair.

Atkins got like 5 years from them at decent money, around the same time they gave brandon ellis 5 years at reasonable money. Who is he? Also unclear to me.

Ellis did make sense as he had come from winning premierships at the Tigers. But Atkins was just straight up bizarre in getting him and offering him such a contract.

Herald Sun reporting that Suns are getting Port's future first as well. Hahahaha.

Collingwood make out like bandits which is sad, but this is otherwise very funny.

So Collingwood are giving up next to nothing? lol noble is basically being valued as highly as Houston at this point

Do not talk about Basti like that.

I treasure Basti's sterling leadership that got us NEAFL flags.

But Lethal basically walking back his hardline stance that Aish wouldn't be traded for 'unders' because Liam Pickering got Basti more years from us is objectively silly in hindsight.

The rating of Noble and Rioli just has me shaking my head. I know Im not any where near an expert but I've seen enough to put them as just average guys who are mostly traded for token picks
