Pies, are going to beat us to a flag. I like the look of them. They are very slick, especially this early in the pre season.
perhaps, but remember they have burst out of the blocks the last 2 years (both years 8-3 start) then flat-lined as the season has finished. Personally I have doubts about their KP players and I reckon they rely way too heavily of Pendlebury and Swan

Remember also that the Roos were keeping their interchanges to the new cap, whereas the Pies weren't. That sort of thing makes a big difference especially in hot weather. Had they been on equal legs I think the Roos would have completely overrun them in that final term.

They did look pretty slick, but it's much easier to do that when your opponent is more exhausted than you.

Yeah, remember these guys?

They wasn't as slick as the Pies have been, their midfield is already set in stone for the next 5 to 6 years. They have always, been a side that makes Grand Finals. Winning them is another thing.

Rd 1 2013. The most WTF round of football by our club I have ever seen. I will never believe NAB cup form after that experience. Collingwood's NAB form means absolutely nothing if they lose in rd 1.

Opposition teams pretty much do nothing to stop your teams style of play in NAB cup. So anyone or club on their day can look like world beaters.

The pies have always been slick this time of year. Unfortunately their grease runs out half way through the year.

I know it might be early for this discussion, but what disgruntled Essendon players should we target? Hooker at 28 in October is the obvious one. Would we be willing to place the highest bid and would it be enough to entice him up north?

Hurley would also be handy

I reckon there'll be an early meeting at Punt Road tomorrow between Damien Hardwick and Richmond's fitness staff. They look nowhere near ready for the start of the season. Hardwick desperately pulling players off so no one gets injured.

3 injuries throughout the game and finished with about 15 on the field. Reckon they would have just taken the mercy rule if they were allowed.
